Greek election is tomorrow and Uncle Ben speaks on Wednesday in front of his buddies.
The theory being he was too afraid to talk about more free money in front of congress hawks but will be a little more loose lipped with his buddies
Our King of banks on the other hand skipped QE for some other new fanged scheme, maybe helping currency strength relatively

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum so apologies if this isn't in the right place; I'm headed back from the US in a few days with about $5k in my pocket; I'm a bit ignorant on the clever ways of dealing with the exchange rate. Is it best to convert over hear or in the UK? I don't have a US bank account so its all in cash...
Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks!0 -

Hi, i have varying amounts of left over currency from my travels some UAE Dirham and some Mexican Pesos (probably only totaling £200) and am going to the US next month. Am i best to change this left over currency in the US to dollars, or change it here into £s and then dollars (or will it make no difference considering the small amount!)
Thanks!0 -

There is a cost each time you change it, so better to change it once rather than twice.0 -

Any chance of opening an account while you are in the USA?
Otherwise, see if you can find a bank or bureau willing to accept your dollars in exchange for an electronic transfer of sterling to your home bank account.0 -
