The trouble is that OH is maintaining that he didn't hear it! He was lying beside me, listening to the Today programme.

How are things, Neil? Bet the girls are busy now!

We have a new grandson and they have moved from lovely Florida to cold New Jersey!

Going to see them at end of month.
Congratulations! Girls are doing well. Chloe is 2 next Saturday and Charlotte turned 1 3 weeks ago!

Not sure Jersey will be cold this weekend, sure going to be wet though!

My folks are coming over at the end of August for 2 weeks. A few days in Cincy then going to Niagara and NYC. Looking forward to it!

Yen is up, Dollar is down and Sterling is better for it.
I think we can hope for 1.61 but it often pays to be pessimistic after a rise, 1.57-8 to hurdle

I've been very happy. Over 6000 kWh generated since installation :j but, just like in finance, past performance is no guarantee of future returns :D

Pound weakens further on US jobs news and Bank warning
The pound fell below $1.49 against the dollar on Friday, close to a three-year low, as markets digested the prospect of UK interest rates staying at 0.5%, and the strengthening US economy

It is dollar strength yes. Would really drop if we had special weakness

The previously mentioned 1.5 or 1.51 area is a hurdle to get past into any proper riise from here.
Not sure otherwise except these are the elections low prices for sterling
