  • OMG - that doesn't look good!

Neil - is this something you've ben following for any length of time? do you know how accurate their predictions have been in the past?

JAckie that very same site had a forecast of 1.416 for March back in August this year so you need to take it with a pinch of salt, it also showed an average for Nov of 1.566 which isn't the case.

There are far too many factors to take into account for them to predict that accurately, if they could then we could all get rich on their info

Well, I did wonder, but presumably some predictions are more accurate than others - 1.566 for Nov isn't too far off.

We're not travelling over the pond again until end of July next year, but will need both USD and CAD.

If it's going to go down as far as that graph predicted by next summer I'll try and buy a few $ now!

    Morning Jackie!!

I just put in "prediction for USD GBP" and that was the first website I stumbled, blindly, on to. I've never used it before.

A couple of years back (could have been the end of last year?) there was a website that had about 80 major financial institutions predict the rate for 12 months in advance (I think). The rates ranged from about 1.35 to 2.00... So it's clear that most of these "experts" know about as much as you and me.. and that's the square root of f&@k all :)

PS - Where you off to this time? West or East?

North West - have booked three weeks fly-drive in and out of Seattle, plan is to do a loop south into the north of Oregon, back up the coast to Olympic NP also DD is into Twilight books (she's almost 15) so we've got to go via Forks & La Push, then over to Vancouver Island and then to Vancouver.

We usually go at Easter so it'll seem a long time to wait until the end of July!

Sounds great. I have plans to go to that area. I hear it's beautiful!

Sadly I have no holidays booked at present
Well, except my week in England over Christmas. Very much looking forward to that!! Bacon.... chips.... real ale.... yum, yum and yum
  • Most of the experts do not know it all or they would be making money speculating, and the speculators are not going to tell you.

The simple fact is that it could go up it could go down.

    Morning all!!

Not a great few days for the GBP. Down to 1.5797 right now.

On the upside, I've got a 4 day weekend!! Turkey day! I'll be celebrating with a group of South African Americans at lunch then Canadian, New Zealanders, Americans in the afternoon. Lots of food, but more importantly, lots of beer and football!!

    Have a good Thanksgiving, Neil.

Am mad - wanting to get some dollars on Monday, down 30 cents today.

Will be in sunny Florida for Christmas again this year - hope it's warmer than last.
