My wife and myself are going to the USA second week of January.. which makes all the recent fluctuations of the £ vs $ mildly scary - especially with all the reporting of falls to come in the next few months. As regards our currency, any views as to whether we'd be best to by sooner rather than later? Things seem to not be reaching the peaks of a week or so ago, and if anything are heading a bit south...0

1.6 is a general average, 1.7 is a reasonable top target for the moment I think and worst case scenario for jan would be like 1.5 I guess
1.63 to 1.61 for the next week would be inline with a continuing positive scenario0 -
