Magic stuff, good for you. I've 4 nights in NY for Easter then 22 days in Florida in June/July so we need the currency to fly and quickly.0 -
Hi,
I am going to Las Vegas (YAY) first week of April and was wondering what sort of travellers cheques are best to get $ or stirling? Does it matter which?
Is the 1.634 exhange rate pretty good for the moment? Does anyone have a crystal ball that thinks its worth holding off getting money exchanged until nearer the departure date?
Any opinions much appriciatedYNWA

Get them in USD, you can use them like cash then and don't have to worry about currency exchange.0 -
Definitely get TC's in USD and not sterling, then you won't have to rely on the exchange rate you get over there.
As has been said, you can use TC's like cash in the US and any change is given in cash.
The rates hasn't been much over $1.60 something for months so no reason to expect it to rise dramatically any time soon. If it's announced that the UK is coming out of recession, that may make it rise a bit.
You can pre-order USD TC's and/or cash from Crown Currency Exchange for delivery after 16.03.10 at a rate of $1.705

It's OK. I've arranged with Neil that's it's going to stay low until after he's been back to the UK for a visit, then it's going to rocket after that!2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
