[08:57 GBP/USD: 1.60 Handle Reclaimed After Model Fund Buying]
London, January 8.
Model fund buying is being tipped as a factor in cable"s reclamation of a 1.60
handle for the first time in over 24 hours. Touted offers at 1.6030 and 1.6060
(yesterday"s peak, scaled in Asia) are appreciation obstacles. A 1.6000 option
strike is the closest-to-market expiry for today"s 10am Eastern NY cut
(15:00GMT).
UK December producer price inflation figures will be revealed at 09:30GMT.
Input prices are forecast down 0.2% month-on-month, up 6.5% year-on-year. Output prices are forecast up 0.2% m/m, up 3.1% y/y.Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

13:37 08Jan10 GBP/USD: 1.6060 Offers Tested After Awful US NFP Number
London, January 8.
Cable leapt by more than half-a-cent to test offers at 1.6060 (yesterday"s
peak) on the back of December"s very disappointing US Non-Farm Payroll number.
This came in at minus 85k, compared to the flat consensus forecast. November"s NFP number was upwardly revised by 15k to +4k, with October"s NFP number downwardly revised by 16k to minus 127k. The US unemployment rate was 10.0% last month, unchanged from November. This was as expected.
GBP/USD buy stops reportedly reside above 1.6060/70, with further sell
interest then tipped at 1.6100.Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Some good discussion on Fed monetary policy, I figure its worth reading as its ultimately the differences between them and our BOE that make the exchange rate?

Is there an MSE guide to this sort of thing? the rates look good, I don't mind a gamble, but delivery is too late for me. Does anyone else do a similar thing?
Many thanks for the help0 -

I was wondering the same. I'd love to take advantage of the rates and I don't need the money until August but I just feel a bit wary of giving a company £1000 to sit on for months. What if they go out of business?0
