ML I don't know if they do tights but H&M maternity stuff is about 6 inches too long for me so I'd look there 1st.
I've not bought much baby clothes wise, mostly because we already have it tho

ML i got loads of baby clothes given but i still got newborn stuff but just the absolute basics you'll be suprised how much stuff people will buy you as well x

we had some friends round with their little boy and they made some sniffy comments about having a girl before asking what we were having!

Elle – Wohoo, on seeing his blue eyes for the first time! :j It sounds as if little Rhys is making some improvements if the consultants are taking him off the ventilator too.

I have been lurking this weekend, as there is not much to post from me.
I have been enjoying the sunshine in my garden and doing a little gardening (although really struggling with the heat now as we have a south-facing garden that gets unbelievably hot!).
I have got the dough being made in my bread maker (I know that’s incredibly lazy, but hey, I’m pregnant!) for Foccacia and will make a couple of lasagnes later for tea and the freezer.

As for the whole gender issue, We haven’t found out what we are having, but we have still bought a England rugby romper suit and a superman style outfit that are supposed to be for a boy. But we don’t mind dressing a girl in these things as I wore dungarees all the time and loved to make mud pies when I was little. I HATED wearing dresses, tights or anything frilly, in fact my mum still tells anyone who will listen how I would rip all my girly clothes off at any given opportunity and run around naked! My family was sure I was going to be either a naturist or a stripper when I was older, I am neither btw!
We decided to decorate the nursery in a neutral scheme – cream walls and a teddy bear wall boarder. Then wait until they are older, so they can decide themselves how to decorate it, be it - Pirates, Dinosaurs, Princesses, Football themes etc. whether they are male or female they can choose their own bedroom decoration, whatever it may be.

Nanc - speaking of dinosaurs, we went to see some nurseries last week. We walked into one room and there was a little girl with a doll. So far so according to the steroptype. But she then picked up a t-rex the her other hand and started roaring at the doll. It was priceless! You gotta love kids' imaginations.

question pregnant ladies with debt... how you dealing with it? ive had to recently empty my saving due to everything!!! coming out in one week leaving me with basically nowt when he comes but all my bills are paid and ive got plenty of food in ... are you finding it any harder then usual??? x

I just had to find out what I was having because I am far too impatient! When I told my Mum I was having a girl she said ' I knew you wouldnt let me down'. So no pressure or anything!!!

My mother has announced that she has moved on to clothes for aged 5 now. She has also bought all the weaning equipment and a potty last week. She is simply out of control. Both me and OH have given up trying to stop her and we will just have to let her get on with it. She will be buying school uniform next I think!!!

I have only bought one outfit for our little one just because mum has bought everything else and theres nothing left to buy. I got her a red polka dot romper suit (with matching sun hat) because I am quite honestly sick of pink even though it used to be my favourite colour!

We havent decorated the nursery either, its just a neutral beige colour. Her cot bumpers are multi coloured polka dots and thats it. I will be getting some red curtains next week just to brighten the place up.
