  • Yeah, we're just about to wipe out a load on having a shower fitted in the bathroom so will need to start again :( Bless him Dh wants to get me an eternity ring for Cub's birth which is lovely but then I worry about practical things like boilers and double glazing.

I'm just editing the first belly pictures I've taken to put on my Facebook.

Should I add them to the MSE group as well? My head's not in either one because I couldn't take them without a weird Myspacey angle and I didn't like the way they looked.

ML - do you save tesco clubcard points? I'm getting an eternity ring for Christmas that will be paid for by my points, I've already got enough for a £200 goldsmiths voucher so hopefully I'll be able to get a really nice one for maybe £300 knowing how many points we rack up (and that we've just bought a £200 tv from tesco too :o)

searching - we're basically living on DH's income. I qualify for MA, and our plan is to use it strictly to pay off debt early and put some aside for savings for emergencies.

I can cope with day to day stuff like bills, food, loan payments etc. The things I hate are stuff like car insurance (both due today - total was £584.00) and servicing of cars etc. I really resent them because it such a huge amount all at once. Couldnt survive without the cars so just have to live with it but that doesnt mean I cant resent paying it anyway!

I joined Costco at the weekend and I blame Sami for it!! I didnt realise that as a Solicitor I could join. Its about the only benefit I have for being a Solicitor that I can see!! I spent £50.00 on food when I went there to look at baby things so throwing money away on junk food will certainly have to stop after baby is here. I think I will also have to cancel xmas this year - I will have given people a niece, grandaughter, cousin etc and there is no better present I could give so they will all have to be satisfied with that xx

  • Sami - no there isn't a tesco in my town (hard to believe I know, they get everywhere!)

Searching - you're right - I think I'll let him get me the ring :p:D

Mooki - I know what you mean. I save every month towards those costs but it doesn't stop me having to grit my teeth when paying them! Mine was over £600 this year and that was only after DH haggled with them (it was over £700!) this was after I had the teeniest little shunt and cracked the other person's numberplate and they then claimed for all kinds of other damage. Dodgy as hell and the insurance co knew it but said it wasn't worth taking through the courts.
