I'm still glad we found out - I'm enjoying the thinking and talking about her (and it did allow me to get my feelings dealt with before she arrived). But am just not sure wanting one or the other is the best thing to let yourself get too into. DH didn't mind btw - everyone seems to assume the dad'll want a boy and the mum a girl but it wasn't like that for us!

right im back and my cupboards and fridge is full still have to get one or two things but they were cheaper at herons plus the car couldnt take anymore :rotfl: ... although alittle awkward today didnt really know what to say and of course she didnt want to mention her bf's name incase i said something so dont know about it i know for one thing im not gonna relie on her just incase ..
and yes sami im not suprise either but what you gonna do eh? x

I know I do want to find out so I can prepare bits for the rooms etc.. I'm manic for organisation so have to get everything sorted, hate being like that..

I just really really want the baby to be healthy now, and knowing whether its a boy/girl is at back of mind.. we have 20week scan next tuesday, more nervous than excited..

I really want my sister in the room and hubby, has anyone had more than one person in a scan room with them?

We are just buying things in white and beige, and as we are going to co-sleep there isn;t a baby's room to decorate although if we did use the spare room it is cream and that would be fine as it is!

I'm a total Monica when it comes to organisation but not knowing really hasn't bothered me at all - I'm just so looking forward to finding out when the baby arrives.

We always wanted to find out. OH was convinced we were having a girl so it took a few days for it to sink in and for us to get used to saying "he".

I know everyone says "I just want the baby to be healthy", but speaking as someone with a very UNhealthy baby right now, you want them to be healthy for their own sake, but you love them just as much regardless It makes no difference at all to how we feel about Rhys, he's just "our little boy" and yes we're proud of him for different things than maybe parents of normal, healthy 15 day old babies, but he's still awesome and ours

I decided not to have my bloods done - if it did come back with a high risk we weren't going to have an amnio in case it caused a miscarriage so there really wasn't any point.
