Uh-huh. That's not a reasonable attitude by the seller. If I make a genuine error that results in someone else being out of pocket, I admit it, learn the lesson, take the hit, and refund them so they are no longer out of pocket. If it's my error, I accept that I should put right any consequences this has on others.
It sounds extremely like she just does this to all her buyers, in which case a detailed negative feedback is entirely justifiable, irrespective of whether you personally receive a refund. Marking her down a few stars doesn't give the relevant information.0 -
i understand you being annoyed but i wouldn't get so wound up about it if it was me it's just one of those things. You clearly thought that the tickets were worth what you paid including the postage, the seller got them to you ok and made a cheeky couple of quid on the postage.
If youre happy with the overall service i'd leave it at that.
Alot of buyers get angry with sellers on ebay for making a few quid on the postage but the reality is it's normal in all industry, they are just being too blatent.
All the big retailers make money on their postage charge, in fact i guarantee you when ever you pay delivery for something from a big company be it online or in store, what they charge is more than it costs them to have it delivered. Would you demand B&Q prove that their delivery charge was no more than it costs them to send?
It's just one of those things, businesses make money on postage, it's just some have the sense to hide it and others are blatent about it.0 -
Let other buyers know via feedback- if they are still happy to pay for a service they won't get then it won't make any difference to the seller, but I bet a few will take issue with it.mike230652 wrote: »
Now what can I do??????? It's not so much the money...but from her response she's obviously aware what she's done and must be blagging everyone the same way! Not a bad way to make £4 extra mark up on each sale with no fees!!
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

So if a retailer charged you for next day, before 13.00, fully tracked delivery and then delivered later than that, days later, you' be happy and not complain and ask for the difference to be refunded?
Of course you would Mr Mitty, of course you would.Terms & Conditions Apply0 -
Did not get what you paid for and seller not interested in resolving. You've done no wrong, and given them the chance to rectify, been polite and non-threatening about it - so neg them.
Anything else would be playing into their hands, making them think it is acceptable practice so it is only fair to that future buyers should be aware.
Some sellers need to learn the hard way. If they do not learn, they do not last long.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I would do as others have suggested, ask her again for some kind of refund - point out that if it's a mistake and she meant to put recorded, why does it say fully trackable?
If she doesn't give you a refund, I'd definitely leave neg feedback. Hopefully it'll stop her ripping other people off. Think happy & you'll be happy

I would also try to open a dispute in Paypal... maybe that will make the seller think about it
I always want to get what I paid for and in this case you paid for Special Delivery fully trackable... and got 2nd class recorded (not even 1st class) That tells me something...

I personally never worry about the extra cost for postage as I look at the total when buying from ebay and I am willing to pay for it. If it is £10 in total including £6 for item and £4 for p&p or £2 for item and £8 p&p. As long as I am happy with the item then it is not a problem. If I was not happy with the item, I would use the high p&p as an issue.0

And put "recorded delivery- not trackable" in the feedback, that should focus her attention.0

Hmmm... I personally wouldn't completely agree with that.
We bought a shed from Homebase (which, of course, was actually sold by Argos) a while back and were charged £4.95 for delivery. Fair enough, it was flat pack, but by the size of the lorry that delivered it, I doubt the £4.95 paid for the fuel to get from the end of the road to our house TBH!The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
