..... Also please remember there are 3 BGs on this board and they're not clones :D There will be times when they can't discuss a move between them and one BG may move something that maybe one of the others wouldn't so please don't think it's something personal. At the end of the day it's just down to personal opinion.

    :)
With respect, Andrea, isn't that a contradiction in terms?

I think she means that the BG doesn't hate you it's just that they have a different view on the subject than the other two as to where a post belongs :D

    :rotfl: Quite! ;)

But I think you'll see from the above posts moggins, I'm not the only poster in this thread who feels that their particular postings are being treated with a different degree of consideration than others. I didn't think that it was a case of *me* being singled out (or, heaven forbid, hated) - but it's amused me to notice you seemed to think so ;) :rotfl:

Queenie and Mrsbojangles of course your bootfair posts would be welcomed on the Scotland Board, provided of course you aren't asking about boot sales in Wales icon7.gif

    As I have already stated:
We make every decision in the best interest of OS and there are a lot of discussions which go on behinds scenes as to how best achieve this.

As the saying goes, you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

No one is this board, or any other board for that matter is "singled out".

We are here as volunteers to follow a set of rules as laid out by the MSE forum team.

Andrea has very kindly started this poll as a means to possibly iron out exactly as to where these types of threads are to be placed. No one has said that this will be an easy task, nor will the final decision, made by the forum team, please everyone. It's a question of what is best for the forum and the site in general, not what is going to please a majority or minority.

But if the mse team think that forum regulars should have their threads left in the board they choose to post them in why are some moved
queenie seems to have been around a long time and feels her thread was moved when others weren't
is this 'regular user' thing a rule? or just a suggestion?
  • Hi again

I'm not sure if I'm misreading the tone from some posts, correct me if I'm wrong, but some people seem to be getting a bit overheated about something that, at the end of the day and in the scheme of things, is not that serious.

Let's take a step back a moment and pause.

This is a discussion, on a MoneySaving chat forum, on the Internet about where's the best place to discuss car boot etc threads. We want them to be in the most obvious place for the majority of people and where the OPs will get the most responses to their questions. That's it.

There's no "she/he moved this/didn't move this for x reason".

Let's just get back to the original, friendly, well-reasoned discussion :)
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Ebay is more of a bid and online, although there are Buy it Nows. You have to wait for it to arrive, so it's more like mail order.

Car boots are more like jumble sales, markets etc which are instant and often involve haggling

    It is more OS IMO
