    Morning Everyone

Hope your all having a nice sunday so far, Ive been up since 5am with DS1 and OH who have just left to go to RAF Cosford for the Airshow, so have peace and quite at the mo, just me and the dog sat here watching rubbish telly.

Managed to get quite a bit done this week, but still got a list as long as my arm of jobs to do, I'm setting myself the challenge of sorting out my folder this week and printing all the stuff off so I can get super organised (yeah right.....maybe one day LOL, when I have a maid and a full staff to help...)

    Catch you all later

    Sarah

Hope they had a gd day at Cosford, at least they had brilliant weather, I went yrs ago with my ex, I loved it, never been since.

Bet it felt great to have a day of peace.

Hope they weren't stuck in to many traffic jams getting out and home x

    Hi everyone :hello:

I'm a complete Christmas fanatic and would love to join in!
I was lucky enough to get a good start on this year's Christmas pressies in the Boots 75% off sale, and am more or less now sorted for everyone except my Boyfriend and close family.
I need to get organised and list everything in a spreadsheet so I know what I've bought for who (& where I've put it!!)
I will have a look at the organizedchristmas website in preparation for the next Rudolph day (v excited about this!!)

A friend found a super deal in Boots today- a great glitch on presents for men. This was orginally found by Rubylou on the Boots grabbit thread :T
There are 2 types of Ted Baker mens wash bags, containing body wash, body spray and some eau de toilette. The RRP is £14.67 but they are currently half price at £7.33. They are on 3 for 2, but the till deducts the half price saving three times, making it £7.33 for 3 bags :D This is a cracking offer as it works out that they are £2.45 each, for nearly £15 of goodies!
    Explore wash bag
Explorer wash bag (This is called Navigate in store)
I hadn't been able to find any near me, but a very kind friend spotted them and got me some :D So I am now sorted for all male pressies for the rest of the year now :j
Hope that will be of some use to somebody :)

Sods laws just been on theres only 2 bags left in stock, may have to look instore 2mor x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Morning All

Thanks mum2one, I did have a lovely peaceful morning until DS2 came back with grandma, then had to go and cut my mums hedge for her as it was growing wild at over 6 foot, so my shoulders are aching and back is killing this morning. DS1 and OH had great fun at the Airshow, Lovely weather and no traffic jams as they traveled on the Train.

Well got a load to do today, this month is going so quick where is all the time going, I can't wait to get all the Christmas stuff out (having had a sneaky peek at it all when we moved and had to swap it from one loft to another)

Right must get on, need another Coffee, Hope everyone is haveing a great monday!!!

Freebierocker: you could probably make a few days before and store cake in an air tight tin.

I made grumpy sons on Friday night and put fresh cream and peaches in on Saturday .
But as long as it is airtight it should be okay to make before hand......what are you making and who are you making it for??

I had a phone call yesterday inviting me to bring the kids to my parents for a play in the paddling pool so at short notice we was bundling ourselves into the car for the 30 mile journey. The motorway was CRAZY. I didn't know the RAF Cosford show was on and the traffic was literally just parked up. When you finally got to the turning for the road to the show it had been closed off and there was police everywhere because there was just too much traffic. I felt really sorry for all the kids I had seen for miles and miles with excited little faces waiting to go. I guess there parents should have got up earlier.

Freebierocker I am so sorry I can't help you because I suck at cooking cakes! I think it would definitely depend on what cake you make. Have you thought about googling for a recipe because at the end of one it usually tells you how long you can store it for.

Sarah Im really glad your OH went by train and had a good time. I bet you enjoyed getting a little peace to think for a bit and enjoy the smugness of having an almost complete new home! :) You won't need to do the plan this year lol

Tiara Hello and welcome to the thread :) Thank you so much for posting the excellent Boots glitch, I will pop out today and see if there is anything left! I am in exactly the same position as you for Christmas this year.. do you keep finding yourself tempted by other bargains though?! I also give people too much because I got things in a sale.. I know I know.. I'm a failure LOL

mum2one That sounds absolutely amazing and I just know you will get there because you are always so determined. I bet you are so excited! With the way travel is going these days and the super bargains going on.. 24 pounds might just be enough lol. You are so wonderful giving your daughter her share x

Sugarspun I am well thank you very much :) Woke up this morning with a trapped nerve or something under my rib cage and it is agony to breathe in. Kind of a pain seeing how I need to breathe in a lot  Your dinner sounds so delicious, may I ask how you mature the steak? My partner loves steak and I would love to cook him something perfect for fathers day. I always buy the very best organic steak for him from a farmers market but I time dreadfully so he has to do it himself. I do realise your partner is the chef and I am bothering a heavily pregnant mommy with questions of steak.. sorry :o Is the piano going in the nursery? That would have been amazing for me so that I could play lullabys for my children to sleep to. I miss having a piano!

Anglea oh dear LOL there is such thing as being DOUBLY organised you know :rotfl:Oh you did make me laugh about the postman! Are you expecting a parcel? :D Look on the bright side.. at least you found your other folder and can consolidate now:j

He buys the steak aged for four weeks about two or three weeks before it's needed, and then wraps it in clean cloth so it's dry and keeps it in the fridge. He changes the cloth every day. Apparently it's a bit risky to do it that way - the first time worked perfectly, but this time once the steak was cooking it tasted a little wrong so he had to run out and buy a non-matured one. Still sooooo good :)

He slow cooks it at 50 degrees for 4-5 hours. I don't know the details, but it always comes out brown on the edges and pink and almost bleeding in the middle. Exactly how I want to eat it!

The piano's going in the living room, and Daddy will play it whenever the beastie needs to be soothed. The baby's room isn't big enough, considering the sheer amount of stuff we've already accumulated.

Sugarspun - You just made my stomach turn over lol, I stopped eating meat a few years back after a bad spout of food poisoning. Still cook it for Oh and Dd but wont touch it with my hands as makes me feel sick. I can eat fish ok though, just the thought of meat that does me in.

Baby's rooms are never big enough are they, I remember when I had my youngest she had to share my room and I could never find enough drawer space for her clothes even though they are so tiny, they seem to take up as much room as ours do and what with all the other equipment too.

    The piano sounds nice xx

    Hi Mel :hello:

    Thanks for the warm welcome!
Ach I am exactly the same, if I've got a bargain in the sale I always feel I should top it up with another pressie, so it then looks like I've spent a fortune when I really haven't!

And yes, I do keep seeing odds and ends throughout the year which I keep buying as top up gifts as well! Last Christmas I made pamper hampers for my sister and close friends. I'd picked up the main bits in the Boots 75% sale but kept buying the odd thing here and there throughout the year. When I came to put them together they were absolutely massive!!! I hadn't realised I'd got so much stuff!

I hope you can find some of the Ted Baker bags in Boots :) I think they would make really nice gifts (for a very nice price :D ) I always find blokes harder to buy for than girls, so this little glitch has been perfect for me :)

& Mum2one- if you can find a friendly sales assistant it is worth asking if they have any more bags in the stock room. Usually I've found they've been more than happy to go and check for me. What a pain for them to only have 2 on the shelf!! :(
