Apparently (according to what I read on other threads) these little purchases (always seem to be less than a fiver) are test purchases. Computer programmes run through possible card numbers and pins until they get a match  they do a test purchase then if it goes through follow it with a biggie. It appears they might never even have handled your card! At least that's my understanding of it. You need to be vigilant when checking statements. Petrol stations and restaurants are key places for actual shoulder surfing/cloning though, it would seem.

ah she knows that..! (caught up with thread now)

happy Birthday Sugarspun and hope yours was happy too PLMel

Cheers, I just remember when my friend had her card done, they only got £60, but started off with £3 sum.

The woman at the fraud department laughed when she realised I was talking about £2, in Dec, she checked the company out and said it was a online gift company, but as the transaction was so old, they couldnt really do much and that I was lucky for the critical period (up to a week, usually straight away to 12hrs is the average for fraud) as either if the card has been stolen or the card is maxed out, but for peace of mind they have sent me a new account number.

    xx

Oh Anglea I love your new signature :D I have filled my money box up with small change and hopefully it will amount to something when I get to October.. EEK! Exciting!! That picture of food was not my meal.. it was the starter!! Needless to say we shared it and there was no dessert haha!!:rotfl:

I think I will also be dreaming of peaches and cream inside a cake.. DAMN!! Can we have a recipe Mhags?

It will be a recipe for disaster in my case as I have never ever made a cake that worked even though I try my hardest and do it all by the book! One time I remember making this chocolate cake with melted chocolate inside. It was home economics and everyone was absolutely wowed by it. After fighting off the hungry hordes 'offering' a hand with the tasting, I decided to save it for my mum at hometime :) When I came to collect it at night.. it was FLAT!! It had completely sunk.:rolleyes:

Those books sounds perfect Mhags I hope there are some left tomorrow when I go :D How did your party turn out? You do realise you have made us all very hungry now!

Smilelols There was a time limit on the free p+p.. has the offer expired or is it because you didnt spend over the 25 pounds barrier? I hope that you managed to get it working in the end.. what did you order :D

JS Why are you 'LMAO'IN' me! I want to know what I did funny! Whats all this about a useless job? I hope it's all still going ok.. :T

mum2one Don't even try to pass the 'Halfcost addict' book to me!! I just wanted to say a huge congratulations to you on clearing that card. I found your diary a few months back (the one on here, not the one hidden under your bed;)) and just found it such an inspiration, I had no idea there was so much going on in your life xx

Lucy Lu You can't be away and then come back and start swearing, mentioning housework willy nilly.. What a foul mouthed young lady :D

Paddy I know what boxes you are talking about and I absolutely love those old style WTP sketches. EEK! I am glad you picked up some bargains :) How are the bags coming on? Did you decide on a pattern for Auroras yet? I can't wait to see what you come up with. When I go to Primark I think of you now in the bangle section hahaa!!

Sarah I think you totally hit a nail on the head when you mention consolidating all your notebooks and bits of paper. I am going to make a 'proper' file this year and completely enjoy every second of it. I will probably make a few pages of my own and embellish it all so that it will become my christmas scrapbook this year. Can you hear sleigh bells? :rotfl:You sound like you are starting to enjoy your home.. it's good to have you back xx

SugarSpun It seems like two seconds since you announced you had caught the pregnancy bug from the thread (hehe!!) and now you are so close to the end. I am so excited for you. How did your steak go? Did you have that in the end? I bet your OH was very excited to share this tradition with you and prepare it all. A man who buys shoes is definitely one to keep ;) I am glad you had a nice time xx

And on that note I think I best go do some crafting or I will miss my deadline lol. One day I might actually get to craft for myself!

Just wanted to say that if anyone has sent me a PM in the past fortnight, I haven't got it. I know there was about 3 unread because I saw it just before my son managed to click delete. I tried pressing back and it made them all re-appear but he had permanently deleted them so it was useless once I clicked on the PM title!

I've been looking at those boxes today wishing they were a) blue and b) had eeyore on so I had an excuse to keep them :p.

Aurora's bag is almost done (shush don't tell her) well the knitted bit anyway. Have kept the design as a surprise - even to me :rotfl:.

I was in Primani on Friday but couldn't be faffed to stand in the queue that wound all the way round the shop - and they had some really nice t-shirts in too

More stuff on my blog OH is in Malaga sunning himself DD was outside playing - I was inside cutting and pasting lol!
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
