I knows its digressing a lot, but, I've had a very lucky escape as I'm 99% sure my one credit card been cloned

For those that dont know my thread, I've taken out a consolidation loan,to clear all credit cards.

I rang the card companies to say I've paid off in full and that I wanted to cancel some of the cards, in all honestly the last yr, not been much space between money owed + credit limit.

Had to hunt in shredding to be done bag for phone numbers, found a statement Dec 08, on there is a transaction for £2.00 London Identity. I've def not been to London and wouldnt use a credit card for £2.00 transaction, whether they tried to get bigger purchases as the £2 had gone through, they would of hit brick wall- no money.

I'm pretty responsible, lecture everyone in house about shredding documents, dont hand over the card out of site, shop on secure sites, it could be from anywhere

Just don’t want anyone else getting stung, stay on guard. xx

    Thanks ladies!

It's been good so far - cards from my parents and brother and awesome gifts from my lovely husband: fizzy bath things, a really nice bottle of wine, a manicure/pedicure and the shoes I have been agitating for for months! Sadly he bought a size too big even for my current inflated feet, but we should be able to exchange them.

Now I have to do some work :( but then later on I am going to soak in the bath while sniffing as my birthday dinner cooks merrily in the kitchen. Hurrah!

30's pretty fantastic so far. I think I will stay this way.

Edit: Oh effing hell. Father's Day!

SugarSpun - hope you have a brilliant day :T

Mel, was that a photo of your meal? It looked huge. The hotel looked nice, so I take it that you had a good time. Your cards and scrapping pages are gorgeous.

Father's Day cards. I must admit that this year my brain is on a go-slow and I can't do too many things at once, so I was concentrating on getting 4 birthdays out of the way first (between June 6-16th) before I think about FD. In other words, it will be a last minute job. And I'm also being diverted by the Rudolph mini assignment.

Finally got another £2 coin. The first one since the week I started the box!

mum2one - glad you discovered early on what had happened with the card. Some of my elderly relatives only discovered a year later that about £500 had been taken out of their account, a clerical error not a robbery. During the time it had happened one of them had been in hospital and everyone was in such a state that it wasn't noticed.

Are you sure your card was cloned? It seems a very small amount to steal. I wonder if you details weren't put in by accident e.g. a number similar to yours?

    Afternoon All

Happy Birthday Sugarspun, hope your having a lovely day. Thanks for the heads up about the uniforms mum2one, will go shopping in asda later I think.

Well the sun is shining here and its making me want to sit in the garden reading my book, not stuck indoors doing chores LOL. Kids have settled into new school so things seem to be sorting out now after moving. Got fathers day all wrapped up, sent my dads off last week and OH and FIL are wrapped upstairs ready to give.

Gettin all excited about the OC planners already can't wait to start a new file off, and consolidate all my note books and scraps of paper.

Right oh better get on with some jobs done

Catch you all in a bit
