Baby's rooms are never big enough are they, I remember when I had my youngest she had to share my room and I could never find enough drawer space for her clothes even though they are so tiny, they seem to take up as much room as ours do and what with all the other equipment too.
The piano sounds nice xx
Rufus, I was a vegetarian before I was pregnant. The baby's not one - I was trying to fill up with veg proteins but she needed meat! Weird.
I'd like the baby not to have to spend her first few months with only a changing table, a crib and a suitcase with her clothes in. We'll see how that works - this morning I'm going to have my beloved on duty making phone calls. "How do we organise post-natal home visits?" "What should we bring to the hospital?" "When can you bring our piano?" are on the list for today.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Good luck with the phone calls sugar spun.
It looks lovely out today so I am going up the town later to see if there are any bargains about. I'm looking for things that are either blue or black/white as for my eldest daughters birthday I have made her a blue cardigan and have a blue monsoon mirror for her too so will do her a blue themes box of goodies. And for her xmas present I have made her a black cardigan and have a black and white soft toy cow (shes mad on cows) so will do her a black/white themed box of goodies. Only thing is she is coming up town with me today but I am sure if I get something she will have forgotten all about it by November.
Other presents are just about done except I am still looking out for some nice egyptian themed bits and pieces for youngest daughters xmas box. Thought of may be a bracelet with the charms on or a necklace with her name in hieroglyphics (probs not spelled right but hey its Monday) and may be a jig saw puzzle if I see one before then. Have already got some nice ornaments and covered note book, folder and another book.
Still havent looked at my sewing machine to see whats up with it, keep forgetting to bring it down and its something I need to have a look at first thing while I'm not geting tired or I would get the hump with it in no time. Been sewing the patchwork bags up by hand stitiching (just sewing the fabric patchwork pieces together onto the backing material). I'm on the last one then the pieces will need assembling which will have to be done by machine for strength.
The bags I made for my sisters, 1 is red tones and 1 is brown tones and I think I will look out for some bits in these colours to put in the bags as little extras. Did have a look round the boot fair Sunday but I dont know whether its just me thats more fussy or whether they are not selling so much nice stuff down here this year but I didnt buy anything except some plants for the garden. Will have a nosey in my fav charity shop when I am up the town.
Anyway, catch you later xx0 -
mhagster: A few days before was roughly what I was thinking would be okay. I have several airtight containers to put it in too so that should be ok. How did your cake go down then?
It's for my aunt. Her birthday is at the start of next month and I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing beforehand :rotfl:
pinkladymel: I'm making a chocolate cake thing :rotfl: I've got a recipe but it just says "And finally, enjoy." with no mention of how to store it or anything. So useful *sarcasm* Lol.Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0 -

Well I got a couple of bargains, some nice black coloured body sprays in Wilkinsons, they were two for £2, and a set of makeup kind of bags in three sizes for £2.20 in the charity shop. 2 of the bags are black and white and the middle size one is just black and they are tied up in a pretty black organza ribbon.0

Hi everyone, can i join you?
Ive read through the previous pages and im feeling so inspired! I love Christmas and am like a little kid in the run up to it, even though im a boring and allegedly sensible 28! I bought some revlon and morgan make up bags in the pound shop yesterday, that will come in handy for hampers. My best friend is due to give birth on 30th july so im going to make a babies first christmas photo album/ scrapbook as part of his/her christmas present. Hope you've all had a good day!0 -
