Having a busy week again, still not got my file organised and not done any shopping yet ARRGGG!!! but not stopped. Will have to get on with the file today as I managed to sort printer out and Sky have eventually sorted the broadband out so no more fighting over the Dongal (Yippee).

Had lots of sunshine here yesterday so got the pool out for the kids (and the Dog LOL....she decided the boys were having fun and wanted to join in) had a BBQ for tea and a mess about in the garden.

Gotta wait in for the 4th cooker to be delivered today, hopefully they will be able to fit this one... its driving me up the wall all this now, then if I have time will go into town and do a bit of shopping and see if I can find any bargins.

RightO... hope you all have a nice day

As requested here's the receipe for 'an old fashioned chocolate cake'

    - 75g/3 oz cocoa powder (you can use drinking choc but will be less chocolately but still tastes yum!)
    - 175g/6oz softened butter
    - 275g/10oz caster sugar
    - 3 large eggs
    - 275g/10oz plain flour (sieved) with 1 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda and 1/2 tsp baking powder

    For the filling -
    -25g/1ox melted butter
    - 15g/1/2 oz cocoa
    - 125g/4oz icing sugar
    - 2 tbsp milk

2 x lined 20cm/8in round cake tin (you can double the quanties to make a bigger cake!)

    1) preheat the oven to gas mark 4 (180C or 170 in a fan oven). Stir 300ml or 1/2 pint of boiling water into cocoa powder, set aside and leave to cool.
    2) In a bowl, whisk butter and sugar till light and fluffy and then whisk in the eggs gradually. Fold in the flour mixture, and then stir in the cocoa mixture, gradually till smooth. Pour into tins and cook for 30 mins (put a skewer into the cake and if it comes out clean its cooked). Leavr cakes to cool for 5 mins before removing from tins and cooling on a wire rack.
    3) to make the filling. Stir the butter into the cocoa powder then beat in the icing sugar and milk till smoth. When cakes are cool spread the filling over one cake and top with the other.

Now for the ultimate chocolate covering. melt a large block of cooking (milk) chocolate. Add a large dolup of cream and mix throughly. and then spread all over the cake!!
:j Bought all my presents for this year (birthday and Christmas) now starting on next years!!:j

mum2one you're doing really well with your pressies.

Bought one more purse last night on ebay to add to the pile.

Had an in laws birthday the other day - so I got a bunch of sweet williams from asda for 1.50 and a thorntons cake for 2.85 and gave her a pashmina which was an unwanted gift - so a cheap gift there...

right so QUESTION OF THE DAY:
when you order something from Boots do you have to go to the kiosk to redeem your points within the first two weeks after delivery or two weeks after your delivery!!?? the e-mail I got was a bit unclear...

Updated my gifts notebook and have printed out some sheets of the grand plan from 'Organized' and am going to christmassify the file I'm putting them in...decided to start the grand plan on Aug 1st and a couple of the weeks I have to do two weeks worth of stuff but then I'll be all done before baby comes. Yeay. Have my scan next week - boy or girl!!!??? will let you all know xxx
Am doing lots of cleaning and decluttering now also so when I start the grand plan it won't take long to do each day, then I'll just do a quick sweep of the living room and kitchen a couple of weeks before christmas or when we put the tree up and bobs your uncle we'll be ready for a 'lovely lazy' christmas (and not too many sleepless nights I hope :)

I'm still not a fan of noseless stamps but they are great for colouring in and seem to fit most card styles - I have resisted buying any just some stamped images to play with :D

That's why I post links so you lot can spend on my behalf - virtual friends doing my virtual spending - perfect :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
