This should really be in the Comp Discussion Thread, this board is for comps only, congrats on the engagement though.

    Hi hun,

I do hope this doesn't sound off but I have noticed a lot of your posts have been asking for help or like this thread asking for the links to certain types of competitions. It's not really feasable to have a thread for each type of thread though hun.

Have you looked at the comping guide? It's really useful and has helped me out loads. It's here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1014121

Also if you look on the first post of each of the daily, weekly and monthly threads at the top it will tell you clearly what each comp is.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

It is just a case of reading through everything, I partly understand how you feel especially if you have missed what appears to be a good comp with loads of prizes. I felt like this when the Cosmopolitan results were out, I really couldnt believe I had missed such a brilliant opportunity, but obviously had not checked the regular comps sufficiently. There really is so much info on this website it is impossible to read it all and therefore you will always miss something however well it is pointed out.

Hi Peeps....Haven't been in here for a while, or the Inn come to think of it :o.

Wonder if someone can help me with this email I've just got ... I have found a list of comps in game over of some 69-247 comps which I have entered but non with the Sassoon prize. Also when I click on the link I keep getting Cafe Networks website?

My problem is Can anyone else bring up the website?

It sounds like:spam: with them wanting money upfront but am just not sure

Sorry for late reply but I've only just seen this...

Feel I need to respond as it's me who posted all the comps from the site!

There was indeed a comp on the site to win a £200 Sassoon haircut but it did say you'd have to pay the first £20 ;) For that very reason, I decided to not post it, so maybe you clicked on it by mistake

As they made it very clear that you'd have to pay £20, I don't think anyone is trying to scam you tbh. It was very clear from the outset that there was a cost involved.

The site was a bit rubbish, to be fair but they seem to be making an effort to improve it and is now accessible again here

I did check the site out a bit before posting any comps from it so although it looked very amateurish, I don't think it deserves to be classed as spammy - just my opinion :D
    Probably playing on fb :o

    Hi

Thought this would be the best place to ask this question,

Is there anyway we can add a favourite to a specific competition page ? For the pages we like to look at often as I don't find the search very easy on this website :)

    Hi mj,

I'm thrilled to update that this is indeed a genuine fabulous competition that I have won. :j :jSo A huge thank you mj from me :T:T

I've been speaking to a lovely lady yesterday from the Sassoon PR company who had arranged the competition, who totally understood my predicament, and realised how it might have appeared to be dodgy because of the upfront payment request.

To explain, my suspicion arose because I couldn't find any details of the comp on here and the website address off my winning email was not registering. I was naturally concerned with any money request, especially as I didn't recall entering this comp (like you said, I must have clicked on the wrong link).

So I thrilled to be going on Monday for a fabulous hair and colour restyle worth about £200 :j. The £20 can be paid on the day If I want to purchase the hair products recommended, but this isn't compulsory. I think there is 6 winners who will be there on Monday, Im really looking forward to it, it will be a wonderful treat :D

I just add to favourites (or bookmarks in my case) on my tool bar as I would with any other website :D
