I've been comping for a few months now and have received some great wins. My daughter has taken up the comping bug and when she visits my house she sometimes uses my computer to enter competitions. She only does the ones that you don't need to log on and register with i.e. womanandhome, goodtoknow etc. and her address, email and telephone is completely different. I was just filling one in myself for womanandhome and noticed this in the terms and conditions it says 'mass entries from a single IP address will be disqualified'. Are her entries disqualifying my ones ?

Possibly, I always make sure that my Daughter enters comps from her PC at home.....just in case. I suppose it depends on the specific T & Cs, one entry per person or per household?

I believe I'm right in saying that you could have lets say 4 computers in one household and each one would have a different IP address. We have 2 computers in the household, both on-line, so maybe she should the other one and not mine.

It depends, each computer will have its own local IP address but the main IP address will be the same for all the computers in the household if they are using the same router... so it depends which they go by
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I am just wondering about the whole tick boxes thing. Do you believe that you lessen your chances of winning if you choose to refrain from newsletters and promo's etc? I am always so torn!! :D

the only boxes I tick are the ones to say that I have accepted the terms and conditions (ie the ones that you have to click in order to be able to enter)

other than that if the boxes are already ticked I leave them ticked and if they arent I dont - unless its something I want info on. Its least effort for me in other words:D
