I believe Norwich and Ppeterborough use Experian for their mortgage checks...0

I used to work for a bank and there system for processing account applications used to have various functions before you began to key the application for the customer;
Being:
Process application with credit search (footprint)
Process application with credit search (without footprint)
Process application with Identity Check / AML
I was also wondering on this topic:
When you apply for some jobs they do a credit search on you but that never shows on your credit file does it why?
Its a good point though who is credit searching us and we dont even know about it :mad:Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Just applied for a halifax mortgage and they searched Experian:j rolo-polo1965 :j0

True, When I applied for a job with Halifax and I got the job offer they did credit search me and the search did appear on my credit files and my other employer did credit search me but nothing showed up on my files so i will be asking if this is the case (the claim that companies can do invisible searches)
Seems to be a heated conversation here

I dont think your understanding.
JD Williams can use all 3 CRAs im not saying they do in every case.
They might go for some customer but not others.
The only reason invisble credit search was mentioned so to speak was mentioned was becuase I used to work at Lloyds and in the system it used to have a function to credit search without footprinting.
I'm sorry but as you have previously been advised on several occassions there is no search thing as an invisible search. I myself have had a complaint escalated to director level at one of the CRA's and so know a fair bit about credit reports/files.0 -

They cannot perform a credit search as you are not entering into a credit based agreement.
Your credit file may be searched but this should be recorded as 'Search for the purpose of Employment' or 'Employment Vetting'.0 -

It just came up as unrecorded enquiry, not a credit search, i used the wrong set of words, apologies
I am 100% sure it did not say employment vetting though!Official SOS Club number 014 - Dry until 29.11.090 -

It may be an unrecorded search also...i.e. they haven't searched your files for the purposes of a credit check or quotation.0
