No they do not. They search Experian and sometimes Equifax depends on the data retrieved from Experian. This is proven.

Please post an image of all 3 CRA's (your reports - removing personal data) if you can see a search on all 3 by N Brown (JD Williams)

What do you mean a search on internal systems, what internal systems? All companies search internally to check for customer matching profiles..... but do you mean some other kind of system or what?

YES THEY DO. I should know im the one who opens the accounts as I work for them and have done for the last 3 years ;-)

I had a phone call about applying for a Halifax cc the other night and the man told me at least three times that they search Experian.

Experian is the main CRA that is used however we do search the other 2 CRAs also depending on the information found on experian. As you can appreciate not every financial organisation uses experian so that's why all 3 CRAs are checked at times.

Plus just because there isn't a credit search footprint on another CRA it does not mean that one hasn't been done. As credit searches can be done by organisations without it showing on your credit report. :-)

They will also do search internally meaning for example if you have a JD Williams account that is in arrears and then you apply for a simply be account you will be more than likely be declined.
