Credit Reference Agencies - Really Use Who UPDATE II

That's interesting 043775 as I was wondering if the Halifax had already done a search through Equifax.

Just a feeling I had, no idea why.

Jd Williams etc and SDG are 2 totally different companies... Jds..aka N Brown group have various brands ie Simply be, FashionWorld, Oxendales, Ambrose Wilson to name a few..SDG =Littlewoods, Great Universal etc :beer:

I suggest you politely ask your manager for guidance then come back and try again!

Just to put this to bed i'll post all three CRA's and prove where JD Williams shows up - Experian as search and Equifax as enquiry - Call Credit - ermmm, nothing / nada!

also, there is no way a lender can perform an invisible search and I do not care what you say because I know for a fact this is the case - after all i've SAR'd all the CRA's and FPA's and to better that, i've SAR'd 2 banks and a CC company and trust me, if it means I SAR JD Williams to prove this I will do!

It is illegal to perform any kind of activity on a persons Data File (i.e. Credit File) without authorisation and a footprint being left. Therefore for unrecorded enquiries it shows just that! For searches it shows that.

There is no secret invisible search - please get real....

Unless you work on my team and you know something different then u can tell me AND the other 20 odd people on my team plus our manager different.

Mate i've got it in front of me, in black and white! How can you argue with that? I have three credit reports - one from each agency, all dated 20 january 2009 and trust me, all that shows is

Experian: Credit Search - JD Williams (N Brown & co)
Equifax: Unrecorded Enquiry - Catalogue Account - JD Williams T/A N Brown PLC
Call Credit: Empty for that week and week after!

erm, mate what can I say? I've got proof in black in white in front of me and others are also confirming that they've only used the main two and not Call Credit so unless its a brand new thing you'll not convince us because we can see for ourselves who has searched us.

For the record, i've printed your post regards to illegal invisible searches (for proof in case it gets erased) and sent it to the ICO to investigate your claims. I will post an update when they respond which, will discredit you even more. I've emailed an online complaint to get it investigated as it's highly illegal.

I have 4 accounts as you know and all 4 searches are Experian..nothing..unrecorded or otherwise on Equifax or Call credit... The account conduct is reported though..
Also...043775..just out of curiousity..on an earlier post you said that you can use Jacamo account number to sign into Jd Williams sites..YOU CAN'T..tried it yesterday and today...NOT an associated brand on credit accounts

I dont think your understanding.

JD Williams can use all 3 CRAs im not saying they do in every case.

They might go for some customer but not others.

The only reason invisble credit search was mentioned so to speak was mentioned was becuase I used to work at Lloyds and in the system it used to have a function to credit search without footprinting.
