I've just had Dell on the phone. I ordered one for myself last night using my card.mI then ordered and for my parents in my account using my Mums card. Its easier for it to come here as I'm a SAHM. They queried my Mums card as its registered at a different address.

They also asked if it was for business or personal use, I said they were for business us and gave my eBay ID as my business name.

    Is this true?

I received the laptop today (looks great!) but I would like to send it back and re-order with the 15.4" screen.

Also - under DSR, who is respopnsible for return postage?

It is true.....DSR only applies to consumers not businesses. However, you can still return it if its faulty. In any case you cant return it under DSR or as a business if you just change your mind.....your then in the hands of the supplier and their goodwill.....in your case you would be liable for return postage....but see what Dell say first and ask them if theyll pay....you may be lucky.....if not then make sure you send it with enough insurance to cover loss....send via either the post office, though by DHL via Staples maybe cheaper.....though depends where you have to send it.....maybe ireland!

Do you see the dvd details displayed when loaded in windows explorer ?

Does the DVD Drive light up and read the disc when disc is put into the drive ?

I have one in my basket with the free delivery.

    Works fine in small business

The Vat and discounts are not applied until you place in basket.

As you're probably already aware, free delivery is supposed to run until 22/3...

Got it now....£300.25 delivered with the battery upgrade.

It's a bit off that it didn't work earlier. They phoned me and said that the best they could do was £349 with the battery & screen upgrade as the offer had finished....were they having me on?
