....had £9.50voucher (typical), woman exchanged £5 and gave me £10 for baby and toddler and told me that she had put the other £4.50 back on my card. That was a week ago and unfortuantely my receipts are not showing that going through.....does anyone know how long it would take? I would have thought instantly so not so impressed if the staff dont know how to put points back on your account?!?!

I believe you will receive the £4.50 voucher in your August statement and voucher mailing, it may not show on your receipt.

It says on the Tesco Club Card site "Please note: You must have ordered your Radio Times Magazine Subscription tokens by 31st July 2009". Does anyone know please if this means that Tesco are going to stop offering the Radio Times subsciptions in return for Tesco Points?

I really cant believe that there is NOTHING at all that takes your fancy on the deals front.

I cant get enough points for everything I want to use them for !

    Do you not read magazines?

Do you not go on holidays?

Do you not fancy the odd stay in a hotel?

Do you not drive and could make use of the RAC cover?

    Do you not drink?

Do you not like theme parks or family days out?

Do you not like eating out?

    Do you not like jewelerry?

I could go on and on. I have made use of most of the above over the past few years and it has given our family lots of treats we normally couldnt afford. While Mr T keeps giving the points..I shall keep making use of them. :D

I am another one that can't find anything of interest in the 4 x deals - I think if you have no children and a limited social life there isn't so much for you. However I have made very good use of the double-up on wine promotion!

As a mature student I wouldn't choose to spend my money on a car, magazines, holidays, meals out or jewellery, so I don't see the point in 'wasting' my vouchers in that way. The holiday would be the most attractive but I'd not be able to save up enough points by just shopping for one or two people. I suppose the difference is whether you see Clubcard vouchers as treat money or extra income?

Does anyone have confirmation of how many points you get with the credit card? I've got a purple one, not finest though, and I know it was always 1 for every £2, must have had it 6 or 7 years now. I've not seen anything to tell me it has changed but I note all their advertising now says 1 for every £4.

I rung clubcard who told me I needed to speak to tesco personal finance, so rang them and they told me I needed to speak to clubcard! So not much help there.

Hi all, finally got a reply from Tesco and thought it may be of interest - see below for how many bonus points on spending for the different cards (the number at the start is the beginning of the credit card number):

    4305 67 - Tesco Visa (old style) = 1 point per £2
    5186 45 - Tesco Mastercard (old style) = 1 point per £2
    5521 88 - Tesco Platinum Mastercard (old style) = 1 point per £2
    5206 41 - Tesco Bonus Mastercard = 0
    4013 43 - Tesco Bonus Visa = 0
    4013 44 - Tesco Clubcard Visa = 1 point per £4
    5186 52 - Tesco Clubcard Mastercard = 1 point per £4
    6340 08 - Tesco Savings Card = 0
    6340 01 - Tesco Clubcard Plus = 1 point per £1
  • I am a user of Clubcard Plus - I'm surprised to hear of a reintroduction - I can't remember when I started - the oldest statement I have is from January 2005. I can endorse the value of changing the vouchers for 4x deals. We use them for Eurotunnel twice a year, magazine subscriptions, and occasional hotel breaks. We have four Tescos near us so we can always shop when we go out elsewhere. No wonder Tesco keeps its customers

I apologise in advance as this is bound to have been answered several times on this and other threads but i haven't seen it anywhere  I have an old platinum mastercard so get 1 point per £2 spent. If i was to get a clubcardplus would i get 1 point per £1 plus another point per £1 if i use another clubcard or is it 1 point altogether? Can the clubcard plus only be used at Tesco?? Sorry if i'm really thick and thanks in advance!

    does this help?
Tesco Clubcard Plus. Double the points you EARN.

To receive two points per pound, rather than the usual one, on in-store or online shopping, pay by Tesco's little known Clubcard Plus account. This can be a bit fiddly, but it’s worth it. Combine it with Tesco Clubcard Rewards and it means you’re getting eight times the value.

Clubcard Plus works as a prepay account, and requires you to top up each month by standing order. Yet a better way to work it is only set this up for £1 a month, then simply add cash to cover whatever you’re about to spend at customer service before doing a big shop.

To set it up apply via phone; the official number is 08457 104 010 but you should be able to get through via freephone 0800 406050.

Do avoid going overdrawn though, as then a credit footprint will be added to your file. While not a big deal for most people it can have a minor impact on your credit score.
