  • I save my points and collect them at Xmas, when I phoned Tesco to ask them to send me them out now they said I was tied into the christmas savers (unless you reach £100 by November you don't gain anything from this) This seems very unfair surely all their customers should get the chance of these double vouchers.

I think thats you chance you took by signing up for Christmas savers as you would gain vouchers if you hit the £100 by November, I chose not to do this as I couldn't guarantee that would happen.

I would think if this promotion is a success then they will roll out different offers after September and hopefully you will be able to use your vouchers then.

When i signed up to the christmas savers i was told i could pull out at any time and then vouchers would be sent to me in the next mailing so if you pull out now, you should get all your vouchers in August. Not sure if this is still the case though, sorry

    Just found this:

What happens if I decide I don't want to be a Christmas Saver anymore?
You can opt out of the scheme at any time of the year. Just call us on 0800 59 16 88. Your Clubcard Vouchers will then be sent to you in your next Clubcard Statement. However, any Top-up Vouchers you have from your cash savings will not be sent out until your November Statement.

    Good luck :-)

    Hi
Do you think they will allow the £5 morrison voucher along with £30 or more clubcard vouchers on wine?
  • I did phone Tesco they said I could opt out now but my vouchers still would not be sent until November
  • Clever TESCO!!!

This is clearly a good deal for us bargain hunters. However, yesterday I 'doubled-up' a £5.00 CCard voucher for a £10.00 clothing voucher having spotted a swimsuit on offer. Tesco are advertising this as £15.00 reduced to £10.00 with a big double-up sign above. It was at the checkout that I was unable to purchase this though as Tesco are still adjusting the VAT at the till, essentially any products you see priced at £10.00, £20.00 etc will come in less at the till (including 3 for £10 wines). Therefore, you cannot use your double-up voucher unless you spend over the value.

When I questioned the manager I was told that it is a head-office issue despite the advertising clearly being misleading, there was nothing he could do. They will not return your clubcard voucher and cancel the double up voucher as gthe original voucher has been redeemed. I do not normally buy clothes from Tesco and would be stuck with the double up voucher and have lost my original fiver. After much kicking and screaming (!) the store refunded my fiver onto a giftcard, the problem here is that it is now simply a fiver - cannot be doubled up for another department or more importantly x4 on their other deals. I am effectively £15.00 out of pocket now.

The moral of this story....CHECK THE PURCHASE PRICE AFTER THE VAT ADJUSTMENT BEFORE DOUBLING UP!!!!

Top marks Tesco for finding a way to mislead us and get us to spend more than we intended!:T

Wouldn't it have been easier to buy a pair of tights or some baby mitts for about £1 and donate them to charity. That way you could have got your swimsuit.

I agree :) everyone wears socks/nickers/underpants etc so wouldn't go to waste, surely better than losing out?

If you've got one of the older credit cards which were purple with a flower and now have mainly changed to a finest card it is 1 point for every £2 spent :j

Does anyone have confirmation of how many points you get with the credit card? I've got a purple one, not finest though, and I know it was always 1 for every £2, must have had it 6 or 7 years now. I've not seen anything to tell me it has changed but I note all their advertising now says 1 for every £4.

I rung clubcard who told me I needed to speak to tesco personal finance, so rang them and they told me I needed to speak to clubcard! So not much help there.
