Hi, just been accepted for a tesco visa card, 5 points for £4 in store etc, but can i use my clubcard plus account to pay off my visa card. IE, put money into my clubcard plus 1 point for every pound and then transfer it to pay my visa card that i've used in tesco and elsewhere, i know its fiddly, but with the points doubling up in store i may as well try and take advantage.0

The Clubcard Plus account has now been withdrawn for new customers.
Oh no it hasn't, I have one and spotted this on another thread posted today:I phoned them the other day and no mention of it ending, in fact they said they are looking into making it chip and pin to make it easier at the tills. That was the reason I had phoned up as can get a bit annoying not being able to use the fast check-outs because I have to sign for everything.

I was an avid user of the Tesco Clubcard schemes as I thought they're really good value, but since moving from Reading to Belfast 4 months ago, I'm now having some niggly doubts.
For a start, a lot of the 'deals' seem to concentrate on days out and restaurants etc in big cities and large towns. This was not a problem at all when I lived in Reading and I was able to travel to London for treats occasionally.
Now that I'm living in Belfast, it's a whole new ball game. For a start, hardly any of the restaurants have branches here (with the exception of La Tasca, but I believe they are about to pull out of the Clubcard scheme this summer). Hardly any of the annual pass/ theme park/ days out packages seem to reach as far as these shores so I think we're stuck with using the vouchers as money for payment, but this only takes us as far as 2x their face value, not 4x as before.
I'm a bit miffed as I still do my main shop at Tesco, have one of their credit cards and use that as my main shopping card but now I feel I've been discriminated against just because I live in Belfast and not on the mainland.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel irked?
:-(
Yeah - i completely agree. You'll sonnget used to it, its not just Tesco's that do it!
I think customers in Northen Ireland should be entitled to the Tesco Ireland deals for Dublin etc - at least then we get some useWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Disappointed with Tesco. I had a £3.50 voucher and a £5 voucher and went to customer services last night to double them up for use on flowers.
I was told i couldn't double up the £3.50 one as it's only for vouchers of £5 or over. So I doubled up the £5 one and went to buy some flowers that were £4. On using the doubled up flower voucher I was told I would lose the remaining £6 worth of voucher, so I didn't buy them and went back to customer services and told them that I wanted to change it back to a usual Tesco £5 voucher as no way was i going to be spending £10 on flowers in one transaction, but they wouldn't change it back.
I now need to spend more money than I usually would or lose the remaining value of the voucher!
I asked them to show me where in the double up mailing it informed the customer of these restrictions and they couldn't find it.
