Revealed: Tesco Clubcard revamp - what it means for you

Changed £50 worth of clubcard vouchers for 10 x £10 wine vouchers. Assistant had to scan my clubcard and then scanned in each of the clubcard vouchers and a couple of minutes later out popped the 10 vouchers.
Bought 12 bottles of our favourite wine which has already been discounted to £4.49 a bottle. With the 5% off for 6 or more bottles, think the total came to just over £50. Used 5 vouchers and paid the rest of the card. £50 further to spend. Happy days0 -

I get my kicks elsewhere- I am very very lucky- I live in (I think) the best part of London- and even better- everything I want to do around me is free! I get to walk through the park, see all the park animals, flowers and see my family.
I think I get alot of joy, many people don't have what I have
(plus, I used to design and make textiles, I really get into the whole fabric quality thing big time! its part of my training, I have high standards of quality where textiles are concerned- but thats a good thing- it stops me spending all my money on clothes!)0 -
It says on the Tesco website that wine can only be purchased online and NOT instore using the double up vouchers.
Has anybody got any more info on this because ordering online has got delivery charge, minimum order etc?0 -

AS per my post 24 I used mine instore on wine yesterday, I couldn't see anything that restriced any of the vouchers to online only.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You can buy the wine instore or order online. Beware if you are ordering your vouchers online as there are two different codes to quote. one for if you want vouchers to use in store for wine and one for ordering wine online.0 -
has anyone actually had multiples of £5 i usually do, but all my vouchers are for really odd amounts, bit dubious of using these for double up incase we dont get points back. might have to stick to food shopping..... boring
Hi Percy,
I personally have never had any problem in getting points credited back to my account. HTH.0 -
Sorry for this second post but MSE is playing up for me a bit and I can't add to my last one.
It is worth noting though that the vouchers are checked thoroughly before you change them. My Tesco clubcard was scanned then the voucher to make sure they were on the right account, and when I spent the £10 wine vouchers they wouldn't go through until the lady scanned my clubcard to make sure that again they were on the right account. I asked about it and the cashier said she was told it was to stop people using vouchers that didn't belong to them, but she doesn't actually know if that is true or just staff gossip.
Tesco staff are not allowed to accept vouchers without scanning a clubcard.
I have just checked my account and all reference to the fact I am a Christmas Saver has vanished. Does anybody know if the scheme has been scrapped without notice?0 -
Please can someone tell me ......
If i order Tesco Deals Tokens with my clubcard voucher, and I said i was using them at La Tasca restaraunts, could I change my mind when they arrive and use them at Bella Pasta instead or something, or would they have to be sent back to exchange them for something else?
Thanks in advance.0 -
You can use them anywhere that isn't 'buy in full' eg alton towers.0
