I think it's 3. Apply for the ones nearest you first!

Thanks for the alert on the thread; I can 17 pages of them and not one single one anywhere near me!

Tim - I am following the brief and Ive read through all the printed notes and there are lots of different scenarios. For some of them the scenario you are given you have been made redundant (I cannot give too much of this away obviously) thus you are not working any longer. This is the same situation I am in reality in so instead of just going in and making up a story as we have to usually do I match one of the scenarios, thus I cannot be doing anything wrong. I wanted to know if anyone else was in the same stage as me as in has accepted the job and on reading through the criteria seen that the initial information does not match with the actual scenarios given. I am not being greedy in the slightest as I am doing this work to earn money to pay to set up my new business. The point is I need to go into the banks this week to do this anyway so would be good to earn some cash whilst doing this (to then go towards my business set up costs). I just couldnt understand why it states cannot be self employed when this does not match with some of the scenarios given thats all.

As for your wife's situation that is nothing whatsoever to do with me and maybe company policy should be if members of staff suspected of doing something wrong every avenue (ie the CCTV) is checked first before people are accused or sacked. The company policy is nothing to do with me and I have never done anything like that. I spend a lot of time making sure all of my reports are accurate and one of the things I am most enjoying is that as my business progresses I will need certain new technolgoies, etc so by doing ms now I am able to find out which stores I would prefer to do business with as I am building up experience as a customer with lots of them now.

I am sorry if somehow you have misinterpretted my situation as I would not do anything like you mentioned and I just cant grasp the scenarios inline with the other details that is all. if you have accepted one of these jobs yourself you may see what I mean? :)

  • I can only see 6 garages in total, are these the 2 garage ones? If they are, then i guess the 3 I did last week are my limit.

I dont know how the 2 garage ones are worded but these have just one address on them so i guess they are singular visits if that is any help :)

Just doing my off-licence reports from RE, and I had to laugh at Q2, it asks me to give a resume of my visit and gives an example. The red box doesn't turn green until I've typed 400 letters (which is about 100 words ;) ) but their example is only 337 characters (which is about 85 words ;);))

so I think I will just risk it

From what I read of the above, you don't fit into the scenario but you're going to 'risk it' and do it anyway?

What if the member of staff has said that they must not enter into conversation with people who want to open an account but are not in employment? What if they face disciplinary for offering accounts to people who don't fit the criteria for having one? What if everyone in the shop gets a 20% bonus if this person says the right thing to the potential customer but on finding out they're not worthy, they don't say what they should and then lose everyone their bonus?

Scenario used in my wife's situation: Person aged 18-24 to visit shop, unaccompanied.
Problem: Person turned up accompanied by his mother, hence not fitting in with requirements.

Your scenario: Must not be self employed
    Problem: you're self employed.

I've only gone on what you've said so I apologise if I've not mentioned something you've not said. All I'm saying is don't do a job if you don't fit the criteria because the consequences can be massive.
