    Hi

Does anyone know, if TNS have an urgent job are they likely to increase the fee?

The AM's emailed out about a job that seems to have been waiting for weeks for someone to do it. I could do it but for the fee on offer it wouldn't be worth while. Would it look cheeky if I offered to do it for more money? (and how much can I get away with asking for?!)

I have had extra from them on numerous occasions. There's never any harm in asking! As for how much, just state the amount you would be willing to do it for....don't go too crazy!!

They do offer enhanced fees, I've e-mailed them before to say I will be in a specific area that they struggle with and they upped the travel to make it worth my while. Its worth a try, at least you will look keen and the worst they can do is say no thanks.
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

I think you need to register as s/e with the tax office (I think you only have 3 months to do so from when you first become s/e otherwise they can fine you ). You will then have to fill in a full tax return every year - easiest and quickest to do online - but it will not make any difference to you normal job taxwise. You just have to collect all the details from your P60 and enter that on the tax form together with your s/e earnings, savings interest ect.

Its all fairly easy to do especially if you only do a small amount of ms work. Have a look at the govt. website - and don´t worry about it, its not as complicated as it looks.
the only difference to full time job (not tax related) would be IF your contract stated you could not do other work. I have had this in the past when I worked for high level organisations but I cant imagine it would cause a problem for most people.

I don't keep them. I put them in an envelope and send them off to someone when I'm doing a Gap stamp shop job as my POP. ;);););)

.... Not really!!! for you newbies there was a heated discussion about someone doing this a while back on one of the older threads! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have no idea what this is about :eek:but if i now send my receipts off in a fit of madness i will know who to blame ;):D:D
as for the serious question i am trying to keep all my car park tickets as they are going as expenses along with office essentials that i need - and now i know about them also any batteries i need.

I've just noticed a new multi-quote button has appeared for me. Has it always been there and I've just never noticed it?

    Hi

Im just wondering would they had any way of knowing you had returned the goods if you took them back a week later??

    Thanks

Unless they specifically say you can't take the goods back, then I've never had a problem. You're not contravening any instructions if they've not told you, you can't take them back. I've done this with a few jobs where I didn't want the item and will be doing it with an RE job on Sunday.

i use another forum with the same layout. Click the multi quote and the + should change to a -. Then on the last quote you want to select click quote as normal and all the others should appear.
