If you are successful with TNS they take longer. I had to apply to GFK, TNS and TERN more than once to get registered. got first job with TNS beginning of next month and nothing with TERN as of yet :) I am the same - I am registered with tons of places checking for jobs all the time
That's useful to know thanks. I applied to TNS ages ago, but have not heard back. Might give it another go now.
  • Yeah, I think someone on here (apologies can't remember who it was - may have even been you!) said that the lady that goes through applications had been on holiday as well so there was a backlog. There's a certain client they have that I'm keen to shop for, ha ha!

That was me!! I finally got my log-in details about a month after I had applied (2nd application!!) Not seen any jobs in my area yet though:mad:

Oh how annoying! I've been with GR for a while and not seen any jobs although apparently that's not unusual. Will hold out for a little longer before I give up entirely!

I usually do well with GR, plenty of work, but of late I have been offered Zilch, I think it depends on where they have client work going on as well!

I have been with GR for about 3 months and not got to the jobs fast enough, or they have been jobs where you needed an account at a certain bank.

Never get anything through Tern either, apart from the abandoned glasses job.

I think I'd tell people London too, sounds a little better than Essex doesn't it? :p:p

You can have two postcodes, my home one and one other.

I see few little work from Gfk, and often at different times and days to those posted on the alerts. e.g someone may post about phone shops, but it may be 3 days later when I see them on their site.

Oi!, nothing wrong with Essex, of course I live in the nice part!!

    Good luck!
I started off with Gapbuster (my first assignment was Easter Sunday!) and I think it gave me a good introduction to mystery shopping. Having to do the Certification Tests makes you really hone your mystery shopping instincts so I think it's a good place to start!

Although I got fed up of fast food really quickly!

Same here. Gap was a good starting point in getting into MSing, but I don't use them so much now.

    Hi peeps,

Regarding paperwork, does anyone save carpark tickets? can we claim per job or does this go under mileage allowances.

Me now thinks they are breeding!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't keep them. I put them in an envelope and send them off to someone when I'm doing a Gap stamp shop job as my POP. ;);););)

.... Not really!!! for you newbies there was a heated discussion about someone doing this a while back on one of the older threads! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
