    Hi peeps,

Regarding paperwork, does anyone save carpark tickets? can we claim per job or does this go under mileage allowances.

Me now thinks they are breeding!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's my understanding that you can claim for parking - it's not included in the mileage allowance...

Just had an unexpected bonus when doing a phone call for GFK. The helpful gentlemen from my TV supplier that answered my call heard me say in passing that my remote won't alter the volume on my TV (cheapo one from Woolworths). He patiently took me through loads of codes, and now it works. Hurray! Almost worth the several minutes it took me to work my way through their automated call handling system.
  • I have just checked my RE score - I did wonder what the points all meant! I have a near perfect score, but got a -1 for forgetting to include a description of a salesperson - don't know what was wrong with me as I am usually pretty good!

Well, I try my best but have ended up losing points recently. For example, picking up assignments in a hurry (before they disappear) and then having to release them because the dates available on the front page dont match the briefing notes.

ive had that too but seems like if you manage to release within a few minutes you do not lose points - that was the case for me the other day anyway

I wonder if I should try to get my points back for that!

i dont think its worth i am always losing points becuase of this. when i first joined i went from 0 to -2 as i was given a job to do on a bank holiday and place was shut so they told me to release the job - still never been rectified needless to say. also sometimes i email about a query and they say they will release for me as there has been an error (i had another 3 jobs taken off of me like this couple of weeks ago) and yet I still lost some of the points. it is really annoying as ive had full points for my reports but then I lose all these points for these things

I've took the decision a while ago not to even look at my points any more on RE. Their low fees and endless queries make them my lowest priority, so only do work for them if I want a subsidised meal out or have no other work on. If other people offer me more profitable work in the meantime, then I release the jobs without a qualm.

I am much more diligent for all other clients, but the endless queries from RE leave me with no sympathy towards them. Not sure if they will sack me at some point, and I might well miss the odd meal out, but not losing sleep over my average points ATM.
