Hmmm... double bluff?
There wasn't any breach of confidentiality, which is the point that some of us are trying to make, but at least I know one person on here who I know not to trust in future.
But the point I've been trying to make is that Assosia don't like being discussed on public forums, full stop. Not naming the client or the store is not enough, as people were saying what they were doing in the actual stores, and in the company's eyes, this is breach of confidentiality.
It's not up to us to decide whether the company's policy makes sense or not - the point it, that's their policy, like it or lump it.
Personally, I may well think they are being too strict, but I accept it as that's what their terms & conditions state, and no-one is forcing anyone to work for them if they don't agree.
I fully appreciate the fact that people do need to discuss issues or problems sometimes, and may not want to trouble the actual company with their queries, but that's what PMs are for, in this case.0 -
Argh... not having a good day. Why do RE insist on this stupid automatic release at midnight thing they do on certain clients? Do they not consider that maybe, sometimes, there's a very good reason a report hasn't been filed? My internet went down at about half 7 and was down until I went to bed after midnight. Now I've lost the two jobs I had, I'm out of pocket for the reimbursements plus I spent money on travel, and I had to go back to one because I forgot the photo.
ARGHHH! Anybody ever had any luck getting jobs back/money back in this sort of situation? I'm not happy at all right now.
Ring them. The sooner you ring them, the more chance you have of getting the job back.
The longer you leave it, the more likely someone else will pick it up.0 -

I had a job back once, when I'd had problems with my camera. But I don't know this time - isn't it most likely that the jobs will have been put back online and somebody else will be off doing them by now? And now I just pressed send instead of spell check so my email has been sent incomplete, not good.
What exactly is the point of this midnight auto-release thing anyway? They don't start processing the data until the next morning anyway presumably, so why so heavy-handed? It sounds like a lot of us have been victims of this rule before...?Dan

i have just edited my alert in the alerts thread. out of the RE calls i can see 80% have fees all set at zero so be very careful which ones you take.0

Thank you for the words of warning, but I've never seen any phone calls on RE - are they still location based? I've registered my interest in phone calls on the homepage thing but I've never seen any.
Do RE jobs fall under a hierachy too? As I complete more jobs and get a higher score, will the number of jobs available to me increase?TWBM 2010 Wishlist:

I think it's a bit harsh too. I've taken a hotel job which is a couple of hours away from home and the report has to be submitted by midnight the day I check out.
It means that I can't spend the afternoon/evening enjoying the area as I've got to get home and get the report written up in time.0 -

Not sure I should re-open the debate, but just a quick thought on the A*****a situation. I'm not signed up with them and have never done any work for them so have no axe to grind.
I did think that from the discussion on here at the weekend, it would have been easy to identify the client, the problem that they were facing, and the work that people were doing to help them fix it. I can see why the company would have been unhappy about this, so would ask people not to carry on chatting about them like this. Happily these posts have now been removed I think, so all sorted.
I find this forum really helpful, and do my best to help out others too, so hopefully we can all carry using it as a place to share / vent / chat, but bear in mind the confidentiality that we all try our best to keep.0
