Yep i know where you're coming from & yes it wasd themobs who we were guaranteed the cashback from.
However!
As a so called reputable company would they not have had an obligation to when they were informed or notified that themobs were not honouring their cashback deals & this would have been months ago now , they then should either have stopped allowing themobs to sell their 3 moblies or withdraw their 3 mobiles from them as this company would & should have been verified by 3 & all other networks , yet even last week i got an email from them with their latest offers & yet no company has even bothered to withdraw their phones until watchdog got involved.
Hardly looking after thier customers is it , more like not giving a !!!! about their 3 mobile customers i would say.:eek:0 -
deekmcc,
I would agree with you.
hurrah,
I can see where your coming from but as dee points out it is 3's fault that they did nothing about themobs sooner. All the evidence was there months ago.
I can't see 3 giving everyone the cashback but it would be good PR for them to let people end their contract early. Then people are more likely to go back to 3 in the future.0 -
looks like the site themobs.com is no longer available and three has stopped trading with themobs.com from 28-11-2006.

From themobs.com:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances themobs.com is unavailable at present."
Unforeseen by just them it seems? :rolleyes:Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
If anyone is owed money by this company, then get onto Consumer Direct 08454 04 05 06 and log your case. They can give you the contact info for the receivers and also add your case to the list with the relevant Trading Standards.Little lady arrived 13/12/110

can the choose3.co.uk customers as well get in touch with the consumer direct as themobs.com was also running choose3.co.uk.

I contacted Consumer Direct and they didn't even know they had gone into voluntary liquidation!!!
They did however, give me the addressfor the Administrators and told me to send a recorded delivery letter making a claim for money owing.

They also suggested writing to the Director, Ross Taylor and Co. Secretary, Abbas Ghulam (info on previous post) c/o at the above address stating I would be taking civil action against them also.
Not sure if any of this is worthwhile!
I have 2 mobs which I should have received my cashback on at the end of Nov. Most I can hope for now is downgrade my contracts costing me £70 pm and cut my losses.
Like a previous poster, had similar offer last year via Dialaphone, so didn't think this offer was unrealistic. Consumer Direct did however point out in future to avoid anyone using a P.O. Box No. postal address as there is no-one there to receive recorded delivery mail!! Bit late now.
Anyone any other ideas/suggestions?
Thanks to all who have contributed to this post, without it I would still have been waiting for my refund!!

I my experience it is a waste of time making claim via administrators. Banks and any other secure creditors get their money first and the poor cosumer is left with nothing. You may as well save your time, paper and postage. Don't bother - just treat as one of life's experiences never to be repeated!

After waiting for months for my second claim I finally thought to check on MSE for clues... Not very happy to hear that I'll probably never see a penny of what's owed to me, but can anyone explain to me how come the 0870 number is still active and just leaves you on hold for ever and ever, with a voice ensuring you that somebody will deal with your call as soon as they become available?!? If the company has gone into receivership, surely there should just be a message advising you that there is nobody there to take your call? What I would like to know is who exactly getting the money you pay for calling the number?!?I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0

Has anyone had any success with this? Like everyone else I'm p***ed off with the mobs as I've got two contracts with them. We had a cashback phone before this with Dial A Phone and had no problems getting the money back; even got texts telling us when it had been paid into the bank!0
