Not stopping to 'chat' tonight, I'm happy as a 'cutter down' (wish there was a smiley for fingers in ears). This will have to do :p

    Morning all!

My thought for today was that not drinking gives me a certainty to move forward with - I know that whatever bad stuff happens during the day - it can't be as bad as some of the bad days I had.

I also enjoy the knowledge that my time is now my own in a good sense - to share with my family as they deserve.

To me - not drinking removed the daily debate of "will I? " or "won't I?" which later became a discussion of "how much?"....I still shudder at the past sometimes....

    take care everyone....

    Morning all!

Maman - you made me chuckle. I do like the sticky out tongue smiley. I think anyone that can cut down is amazing. As anyone on here will attest, I've tried it so many times and failed miserably! Lets hope I'm better at giving up!

jo - 13 for me please!

Fay - good luck for today!!!

    Me too Maman :D

I am actually very proud at what I have achieved in cutting down when I never thought I could and I hope you are proud of yourself too
    :T
Ok, maybe it isn't for everyone but it IS possible and some of us are managing just that.
If you can't cut down, then clearly you are one that does need to stop, but cutting down is fine by me and I am dead chuffed I am managing it :j

I think everyone is doing well even by setting themselves an AF target for each month. :T There are a few people like me that struggle to make their targets every month but it is still positive that we are all focusing on changing our drinking behaviour.:A I think so anyway.;)

I haven't been AF many days this month but I have changed the amount I am drinking. I have stopped getting alcohol in my weekly shopping as I am the type of person who once I start something I try to finish as much as I can. I'm the same with any type of junk food. So now if I drink I just decide on the day and buy a certain amount and start drinking quite late after dinner and my bath so I know I can't be tempted to go to the shop to buy more. Well it seems to be working for me anyway. I haven't had any hangovers as I said and I feel better in the mornings and I am not getting "drunk" anymore. Hopefully I will start cutting down the amount I buy more and more as my tolerance gets lower. Well that is my new plan anyway.:D

I am not sure whether I will be AF today, I have a night out tonight so I will see later.
