I'm planning to only drink on special occasions and if we go out, and considering we're budgeting it shouldn't be too often!
Set a total for the rest of July. Get cracking and start getting control. You will feel great when you take these steps and stick to them
How many special occasions will you have? 2-3 maybe.
So let's call it 3.
Thus you can drink on only 3 days left in July.
When you do drink on those days, you should not binge, but drink in moderation. Just a few units.
You need to want to do this for yourself - you cannot cut down for others. The desire has to come from within.0 -
Hello all, sorry Ive been missing - In hindsight I was a bit dense and started the challenge the day before my birthday so was onto a loser right away!
Ive looked back my calendar as Ive lost count and the days Im not sure of I have counted that I probably had a glass of wine. :rotfl:
Anyway - Jo - can you put me down for 6 days so far (today will be 7!)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Hi
Only managed the 1 so far Jo but will reach my target.
Hope you are all well. Dont think I am ignoring everyone but need to limit my time online as I was spending more on here than I was in the " Real world ". Still read everyday though and have read peoples successes and challenges along the way
Take care

Help!!! I'm having a VERY bad afternoon. Piglet has turned into the child from hell (wonder if its the weather!?) and I get to my Mums and she's had a row with my Dad so they're both miserable.
I am now in a very black mood and, of course, the first thought that crossed my mind was WINE. Bells clanging big time. Am now at work and mood is getting worse and worse. I pray to god it wears off.
Sorry to rant....just feeling under pressure and need someone to tell me to belt up!!:rotfl:

Hi Miss P - your day sounds awful, v stressful. But you're doing sooooooooooooooooo well with the non-drinking. Think how c**p you'll feel tomorrow if you wake up with a hangover and realise that today's got even worse cos it made you reach for the vino.
Feeling the wine bells tonight too but have got some nuts, juice, pizza and choc supplies in as treats - not the healthiest I suppose but it'll keep me AF.
Would that work for you? Or even a soak in the bath after Piglet's bedded and a chance to talk through you day with your OH?

Post the child to Aunty Stripes - he will get here in about 24 hours and then you can have a break and he can play in the garden here and holler his lungs off cos no one will hear him.
Maybe he's just cream crackered from the park action yesterday ?? And therefore exercising his right to be grumpy.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Being dragged to play tennis with DD3, who is also child from hell at the moment. Hoping some time together will help ...

Thanks all....you're great
Aunty Stripes, as promised he is all packaged up and ready to go. When I got in this evening he came up and said sorry and gave me a big cuddle. OH had given him a talking to I think!
GG you are so right. I don't need the hangover. I just need to keep things in perspective. So I have come home from work, dug some roast beef out the freezer and am in the process of rustling up a roast dinner, yorkshire puddings and all. That should cheer me up!!

BTW 40sm I have a lovely border terrier who I rehomed and he has a great personality. He is a bit boisterous but loves to play and be fussed all the time. They like long and short walks too and are as hard as iron!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
