Good morning all!
I too can be in London within an hour - Brick lane sounds good!:rotfl:Budgie I think your son may be a tad surprised when we all roll up!:rotfl:
Fay - good to hear you are home safely. Good luck with the bosses today - give em hell. We were watching Top Gear last night and they were on Orkney. Is there seriously a place there called !!!!!!!?!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Silentsmile - welcome to the thread. Why not join in with this months challenge. You choose how many days out of the month you want to be alcohol free and then aim for it. Good luck!
FUAS - thats good news about the job interviews. Hope the counselling session doesn't upset you too much.
Well I have a lovely weekend and I feel quite Gung Ho about this week! Done my "to do" list and have plenty to do . Have a cake decorating lesson tomorrow with my Mums neighbour which I'm really looking forward to.
OH dropped his kids home last night and then text to tell me to get myself and Piglet ready as he was taking us to a pub!:eek:I didn't say anything to him on the way there and when we arrived he pootled off to get drinks. I actually felt ANXIOUS. Can you believe that!? So when he came back with a soda and lime for me and squash for him and Piglet (OH's teetotal) it was a huge relief. We had a great time. I spent ages on the park with Piglet. Normally I'd be more concerned about keeping my glass of wine company. I know I'm in early days (And I know I'll have difficult days) but at the moment its nice discovering what I've been missing. And, sadly, thats seems to have been quite a lot.
Anyway, new week. Hope everyone out there is having good Mondays. ((hugs)) to all of you who need them. **waves** to all you lurkers we haven't heard from in some time. Hope you are all ok.
Miss P

Most dogs are fine from a puppy - if you treat them right. I have to say though, we have two rehomed dogs. Rehomed dogs can be a bit unpredictable - our doberman quivers in the corner when we get the BBQ out - I hate to think what happened to her in a previous life when the BBQ was out ! .
I know we are her third keepers, and the first owners gave her to the second owners in a drunken session in a pub. We got her through the second families relations. You don't normally get to know the past that well.
The Spaniel was kicked in the head, quite badly before we got her and obviously beaten regularly. Even then she is really gentle with the kids.
Our DS (the one with ASD/Aspergers) is joined at the hip with the Grand Bassett, but the breed is a real pain in the bum, being a hunting hound, as you can't let her off the lead .... we normally find her holding a rabbit waiting for us to take it off her ........ after a 2 mile run to catch up
Its best really to get a dog that will go with your lifestyle and think about how much time you have for attention and exercise.
This is a good link to help you decide:

Our springer spaniel would be a great choice but they do need a lot of work and attention. But DS loves them all
Hope that Helps
Andy
Thanks very much Andy. I will have a look at the link.

Waves to all - and yeah sipping wine - odd concept.
AF day for me
Night night all '- back into the fray of willow land tomorrow
4 of my bosses tried to get rid of me - their bosses told them they couldn;t sack me for being dyslexic (I only just found out and they cited it as the reason to discontinue me in my big meeting 2 weeks ago). So now I go in to see what exactly we are doing with 4 folk who think I am incapable -- just a normal Monday.
How much fun is tomorrow going to be?????
Hugs to you all - x
Oh Fay darling,:kisses3:
