Hi everyone, (well nearly everyone :rotfl:)
Thankyou all for you kind comments re: the holiday compensation. I am frightened about going somewhere though I shall have to get over this I know. The idea was that on our return from Scotland that we would renew our passports and book a holiday abroad to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Needless to say I have not felt like doing this. However I am thinking of booking a 3 night break in London as my Ds would like to show us around the city, and we all know how Budgie likes to see her babySo I am looking for a really nice hotel, is there anyone who could recommend a good site to book through as many offer discounts? I would be grateful for any help. Thanks in advance

Evening all!
Well this is a first...me posting on here this late at night and still sober!!:D
Have to admit to wine bells clanging this evening. We all went to my Mum and Dads for a fish and chip evening. My Dad went to collect my Nan and came back with six bottles of stella and a bottle of wine (and my Nan of course!:D). The minute I saw the wine my mind started working overtime. I even whispered to my OH... " My Dads bought ALCOHOL! What do I do!?". My Mum came to my rescue and swiftly popped a glass of coke in front of me. Troubles me somewhat that I was so flustered. Guess that proves the power it has over us?
Needless to say, am feeling quite proud to be home sober, and still awake!:D Had a lovely evening and think my Step-daughter enjoyed it too. She had some lovely birthday pressies and loved the cake.
Budgie - a few days in London sounds a wonderful idea. I love going there on day trips. Off there again in August - taking Mum to Buckingham Palace. Wonder if the Queen will lay on cucumber sandwiches for us?:D
Bis - good to see you. I rely on the words of wisdom from you, GC and RA to keep things in perspective for me!
Hope everyone is having good saturdays. Definately quiet on here. Maybe a few on hols?
Miss P

I only had 1 kebab thing yesterday afternoon because I was so hungry with nothing else to eat in the house, I was very aware that it had been laid out all night the evening before but it was a platter that hadn't been unwrapped and I put in the fridge when I got home. Just that one kebab made me wake up at 3.30am this morning and spend the rest of the night/morning in the bathroom _pale_ I'm exhausted. I was panicking incase it was swine flu as I've been in contact with so many people with it now and it looks really awful and very very sudden but 'hopefully' it was the kebab. I really don't want swine flu cos my kids are too young to catch that and my mum's too old :eek:PRICE_IS_RIGHT wrote: »
The Stella can go in a cupboard until your next allowed non-AFD.
I've already said to OH to ask his work mate if he wants them, I've no intention of keeping them or drinking them. Lucky they're not open otherwise the temptation would kill me!PRICE_IS_RIGHT wrote: »I'm planning to go to Glastonbury. Any tips from your OH, Jo?
The problem is that the fields that the campers use go right round the site and then there's the car park behind the fields....OH had an 1 1/2 walk from the car to the campsite so if you camp elsewhere then you'd have a long trek to the gig tents. The queues for the showers took about 2 hours and were filthy, the toilets were half open cubicles with just a hole in the floor, apparently the smell took your breath away! Not my idea of a holiday, I'll watch it on the telly I think! He enjoyed it though, just said next time he would only go if he could stay in a caravan or a camper van to get your own space and a little bit of sound proofing as all through the night the burger vans and bars blast out music, as well as other campers listening to music and talking and the Hare Krisna tent chanting lol :rotfl:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Well done MissP you are doing great, keep vigilant though as sometimes with these things to start with you have novelty value which fads (like me with diets!!)....it is great that you are making new 'memories' that involve doing things that before you would have had a drink so hopefully you can remember thoughs when the bells are clanging...have a great day with dh and piglet x
Glad you are back on the wagon today Jo, I missed you when you jumped offand thanks again for keeping scores...
Managed to only drink half a bottle of 9% wine last night (thought I would try it a pinot grigio and it was nice) so even if I finish that today and blow another af day, I won't feel so bad as I was expecting to do the bottle last night..
Gotta run as loads and loads of jobs and manic children to deal with
Hugs to all who need one xxxxxxxStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
