Ok guys here we go and another Budgie post, it may be a long one :eek:

Firstly I hope everyone is ok and I want to send you all a very big hug as I don't feel I have been as supportive as usual. It has not been intentional just a bit of mixed up feelings and such like.

So firstly I want to say much I love being a part of this thread and to know the people in it so to speak HOWEVER I MUST SAY: Dear Lurky and Winebox where are you?? I am sure you have not had permission to go awol for so long? (Apologies if I am wrong)? But we do miss you both so please post soon ............ Miss P I too swelled with pride when you metioned how darling piglet was praised for being so polite when you went shopping. He is so adorable and you are so very lucky I feel and hope that things are going better for you now. You are doing really well and you have such a lovely family to cherish and care for. I have gotta tell you, I still swell with pride over my Ds, he is my world and he is being taken off the graduate programme a year early and promoted as he has another offer from a company offering him significantly more money. Jo sweetheart I hope you are ok? I am on another 2 af days so far as Wed and Thurs have been af. I am wondering if Budgie can please ask for a very, very special dispensation and alter her target? I will be guided by the one that is in charge your good self. But I am being very good just not quite good enough I worry when you are not about? Glasgow Girl thankyou so much for your pm which I will reply to. Some good news on the holiday that was a nightmare front. I have spoken today to the hotel owner who I must say has been lovely and very concerned over what has happened. She has offered me a £1000 as compensation for what I have gone through. Which I think is a very fair conclusion. She did leave her home number on my answering machine which I then rang back but had to leave her a message also. I always say after speaking to someone or leaving them a message: "Take Care" which I always say without thinking. She commented that someone who says that must be a nice person? Budgie is glad that she trusted her intuition and listened to her Ds. So hopefully I can now put it behind me and move on, though I am still petrified. :jBB I'm so glad you have got the hotel sorted, it must be a relief to you all. Its a shame you had such a horrible experience, but maybe you should spend the money on another break sometime.. maybe not to the same place though...!!!!!

Ah Budgie all is right with the world now you have posted one of your specials so glad that the hotel have compensated you enough that you can move on, how about putting the money asside for another holiday or does that make you feel :eek: now....You could have yourself a nice spa weekend or something....hope your meditation was good this week,was thinking of you during a sketch on 'mitchell and webb look' (if anyone caught it they will know which one) think they are quite funny although not as much as they used to be...

I have also been thinking about those awol posters...please let us know how things are..

that bottle of cava has been opened and dh and I are sharing it tonight so I will be at 7 days af probably now till Monday, although I might try to avoid a drink on Sunday will be difficult though as we are going to inlaws for sunday din dins and they always have wine and as I drive its usually nice as I just have a couple of glasses with my meal....

BB - that's really good news that the hotel manager has been in touch and wants to resolve things. It sounds like she's a decent person and hopefully no one else will have to go through what you've gone through.

GP - I'm doing the mainly veggie diet thing too. Not seeing any health benefits as yet but not feeling deprived at all and it's certainly cheaper too.

Miss P - very impressed with your resolve, enjoying your posts this past week since you made your decision - it's really inspirational to read how you're doing and long may those bells be silenced.

Winebox - hope all's well with you. Don't think you've been so quiet since I joined in Jan but hoping all's well.

Budgie - Good to see you have something sorted with the hotel. Sounds like the offer is very fair. And its lovely to have your upbeat posts back. Don't know what we would do without you.

Glasgowgirl - thank you so much. I'm sat here on my 2nd soda and lime of the evening. By this time on a Friday I would normally be on my second bottle of wine. I just hope those wine bells don't start clanging any time soon.

Morning all - hope everyone is ok and those that wake up with clear heads are pleased with themselves.
I love waking up sober and not hungover, I can remember what I did last night, and I know that by not having a drink last night, it won't affect my day today. Struggling through a day with a hangover is such as waste of life

Still on 7 days Jo as last night was a planned drinking night, only had half a bottle of wine shared with dh so pleased with that, in the past I would have had a glass then said 'why don't you go onto cider now ' to him so he would have only got 1 glass!!

Feel tired today and a bit heady but not hungover...as I will be having a couple tomorrow at the inlaws with dinner, I am going to try to be af today....am not going out anywhere or having anyone over, so why do I always automatically drink on a Saturday will see how I got though..
