    Morning everyone!

8 for me please Jo - like Maman says, no rush for the scores. We won't be chasing you for an update, honest!;)

Foreverhopeful - so sorry to hear about the car problems. Lets hope you get on your holiday soon.

BHB - No need for the P45. You know Mollypolly will be there to kick your rear if those non-af days keep totting up!:rotfl:

Grey Pilgrim - good to see you back! Well done on all that exercise. Wish some of your willpower and resolve could rub off on me. I've decided to lay off the diet whilst I concentrate on the not drinking.

FUAS - well done on the second interview. Fingers crossed for you!

STILL no bells for me but, like I said yesterday, tonight will be the test. Have it all planned out. Come home from work, watch Celebrity Masterchef final and then throw myself in a bath with a book and a cold glass of soda and lime. May resort to ear-plugs if stepkids are too hyper ;):rotfl:

Off to do Mrs Mop job this morning....if Piglet is good he'll get a rare treat....a Happy Meal. Doesn't often have them so he acts like a deprived child when we go in McDonalds...stands there looking round in awe!!!:rotfl:

Anyway, best get on. ((hugs)) to all those in need. Its friday everyone!!

    Miss P
    xx

P.s Decorated stepdaughters cake yesterday - first cake I've ever decorated and I'm REALLY chuffed with it! Got the bug now and want to do more!

(* - except for tonight. I rewarded the 15 mile fully laden bike trip and 2 hours of climbing with a few beers...for which I refuse to apologise :) )
Different type of bike, but I spent 15 hours yesterday continuing to build my own perfect workshop :D I've waited 10 years to get one and be able to have the space and clean area to work on my motorbike properly, no more building bikes in the snow! I can now hang up my spanners and sit down at a desk, I've got a lump in my throat just thinking about it :p
So, after 15 hours of hard work I settled down with a couple of glasses of wine and sat and looked at all my hard work, well chuffed.
At one point I hung and rehung different doors four times, before I got one that worked, I was so annoyed I reckon I deserve one glass of wine just for that :D

Four days AF please Jo, but most of the other ones have been a glass of wine or two.
I'm enjoying reading how all of you are doing,

BHB Please don't leave us, you would be missed so much, how are you doing? are you managing on moderate or are you finding its creeping up (if you don't mind me asking)

Still popping in :D ..... Just been a bit busy and a bit tired. REally need my holiday

Not many AF days this month but definitely managing on the moderation front, in fact I think consumption, in number of units, is going down if anything.

The fact that I can have a drink, takes some of the pressure off and makes it strangely less stressful . I can say 'I fancy a beer' and have one with out worrying ...... but I can't have 4 ;)

Trying to stick to a couple of bottles, and Mrs BHB has pointed out, rightly, that I do much better on bitter rather than lager, which has a funny effect on me.

Not only can I not stop drinking lager until the whole lot is gone .... apparently it makes my mood change to a more aggressive one (not violent or anything ... just snappy and unforgiving).

I find with bitter that it is a much more 'pleasant' experience and also much more interesting as there are loads and loads of different bitters at our local Morisson's, and loads of local micro breweries which makes for an interesting drink if you try a different beer each time.

    Does that make sense

    Best Wishes
    Andy

I have heard similar comments from other folks who have drunk Stella.

Some methods A.A. members have used for not drinking.

Avoid Stella - Support your local Micro brewery :D ...... but not too much ..... enough to keep them ticking over, not enough to make them rich ;)

Alternatively - don't support any

Still on 8AF. Did drink last night, but wasn't sure I was going to up until the point that everyone else had a glass in hand, then I thought 'why not'. Makes a big change from before when I'd have already had 2/3 glasses whilst preparing supper and already a little tipsy when they arrived. So, had 3 small glasses, drank them slowly and had lots of water. Great result. Am aiming to be AF today.

40SM - thanks for the H&B and VH online leads - I'll check them out later - I like the idea of the tincture as I sometimes have trouble swallowing tablets.

69chick - like the idea of telling myself that the wine will still be there tomorrow - will try that one.

GreyPilgrim - wow that wall is vast, it took me quite a few seconds to realise that there was a tiny person up there - crikey - you deserved your beers after doing that. Hope you didn't look down - incidentally - how do you get down?

Maman - I'm the same as you - all or nothing, but that's what I'm hoping to change by being on this thread, so that the 'all' becomes a restrained amount. Early days.

Miss Piggy & 69chick - I love Celebrity Masterchef too. I think Wendy will win as she seems the most natural and competent, but I'd love Iwan to win 'cos he's the underdog and he's trying so hard.

Miss Piggy - well done on the cake decorating - I don't think I've done that since I was in the Girl Guides!

    Happy Friday everyone
