  • Hi all

I'm afraid I've fallen off the wagon tonight. Sorry to be so depressing. Went to try to change some shoes with DD3, then got awful phone call from DD2 that she was having problems with her father(Mt PRI) about a tv programme she wanted to watch and he was being stubborn and nasty about letting her watch it. To cut a very long story short, I am now drinking wine. But at least I feel significantly less stressed:j

Well, I've gone from being a lurker to a mad poster!!! Thank you all for your kind words, done in my usual bottle of wine tonight (And I am being nice to myself there as its been getting on for one and a half :-( Has anyone done the Allen Carr method?? Got the book and read it twice and almost seems to work, the thing I hate most in life is celery and am planning on reading the book, its only small and 'savouring' a big glass of wine with 6 sticks inside the glass (EEEK!!) Will this work or am I just trying to kid myself??

    Thank you. J x

:hello: Welcome nutty and sparky and hello to everyone else.

Not been AF today as went out with SIL for her birthday and indulged in lots of bubbly and red. Tomorrow probably won't be much better. Got a lot of catching up to do this month!!

Bizarre about your antibiotics jo. Side effects were bad but wasting the prescription money almost worse!

Well done all of you that are AF tonight. While I enjoyed myself today can't say I feel any better for drinking. 'night all.

    Morning all!

Budgie - 5 for me please! Unfortunately haven't been swimming with Piglet yet. Money very tight this month so am having to see how goes the next week or so. Five week months - PAH!

Winebox - sorry to hear you have decided to temporarily leave the challenge. Sometimes though only YOU know whats best for you. ((Hugs))

Eselt - what a horrible thing to happen. They sounded a bit overzealous.

    Sparky - welcome!

Jo - are you sure it was the anti-b's making you feel odd? If you still had alcohol in your system from the night before then they might have reacted with that. Why not try them again today?

Fay - glad you managed to ignore those bells. Funnily enough - Baths are a danger point for me - my favourite past-time is lazing in a hot bubble bath with a good book and a very large glass of wine. Shows how sad I am - I have a very large glass which I used for taking wine up to the bath as I thought it would look bad taking the bottle with me!!:eek:Its when you really examine these things that you realise how tied you are to alcohol!!!!

FB- What an awful time for you and your son. Thank God he has now managed to get on with his life. People like that make me mad - should be locked up!!!!!

Anyway, AF May is going "ok" for me. Not great, just "ok". Had the urge for a glass of wine every day. But I know this is only because I've decided I CAN'T have one. Just going to keep ignoring those bells and plodding on.

Piglet up very early today - poor thing had a nightmare and was sobbing at 5.45am. Took him into my bed and gave him lots of cuddles. He fell asleep again but I didn't as he was laying on my arm and it was most uncomfortable! He's off to nursery at 1pm so may have a snooze then!!!

    Have good mornings everyone

    Miss P
    xx
