Hi budgie, thanks again for everything. Long walk with my dog this evening and then I have spent the last hour or so reading the book. Very enjoyable and thought provoking. Just having a break to catch up on here then will finish another chapter and continue tomorrow.

Another AFD for me, hot choccie and water now, making it 3 AFD so far, going very well and no temptation to drink at all as I don't want to have a drink of alcohol. Nice to let this thought in and let others go. The rest of the month will be a breeze for me now I have made my decision to remain AF for the rest of May.

Oh Fb hugs and of course I am glad I asked, but how awful for your son and how worrying for you. It did make me smile though when you said he got engaged on Christmas Day and that he is finally happy

Fedup you are sounding really positive which is lovely to hear You seem to be in a good place at the moment and you more than anyone deserve to have the tide turn for you after the awful last few months that you have had. Hi, hope you dont mind me joining your lovely thread. Been on MSE for a while and sort of scoped through this post but never had the courage to post.....Finally realised I am drinking far too much. I can list loads of reasons why I drink but they are all rubbish, seem believable when I have a glass of wine in my hand but I am so fed up of waking up in the morning annoyed at myself. I dont drink in the day but cant seem to leave it alone at night. I have a stressful job but I'm not a doctor or in charge of life and death and at least I have a job!! One that I enjoy for the most part. Just wish I had the balls to say no at the night time. Thanks for letting me have a moan J x
