Amazing the power of it
Yeah, yeah, I know - but they involved me in their stupid argument when I returned home. I'm a bit annoyed with myself, because it is me who ends up suffering, yet again. I was going to treat myself with some wine on Saturday night, but I'm telling myself that last night's slip-up will be in place of Saturday.:mad:Total AFD's May-December 2009: 178 ie 73% of total days (245 days)

There is a Seinfield sketch, which Charlie Brooker speaks so wonderfully about.......
We're always sitting back and watching our brains do things that aren't in our best interests. Jerry Seinfeld used to do a great routine about "Night Guy" and "Morning Guy", two opposing personalities who lived in his head and dictated his movements. Night Guy was always messing things up: staying out late, having one drink too many, ploughing headlong into ill-advised sexual liaisons - because he never had to deal with the consequences. That was Morning Guy's job. Morning Guy got the hangover - which was unfair, because Morning Guy had to be in the office by eight. Morning Guy hated Night Guy, but was powerless to stop him.0 -

Thanks, Graeme - you are like a watching guardian angel, you are able to pick up on signs of real alcoholic tendency, however much we try to control them. :A
