Hi all, Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Woke up this morning feeling very positive and am aiming to go alcohol free for as many days as possible, hopefully starting with tonight.

Hi all- just in from work

    BHB- love the poem

GC- love that sketch, I think standing back and letting your brain do things that aren't good for you just about sums it up for me- I have to constantly remind myself that I AM THE THINKER, these thoughts are mine and my responsibility, and I don't have to have them if I don't want too, I have to have strategies to manage them, and to think properly about important things I need to be sober, healthy, robust and all the things that make us human actually.

Its been a turning point for me this week, its been the first time in many years where I've felt, 'I like myself, and I like my life' at the same time- I think (as Bis would say) I've finally forgiven myself.

Anyway, less of my musings, have a great evening everyone (chesea fans excused!) and good luck, and remember that cutting down is an achievement in the right direction, as well as AF.

Good luck all for tonight, everything is peaceful here too, although I am very very snappy!! I wish it was bedtime. OH has apparently been in the pub since 12pm (he doesn't normally do this by the way!) and said he's tipsy, I am hoping he decides to stay out and gets back after I've gone to bed cos not only will seeing him drunk make me angry but he's a happy drunk and I can't face the music, dancing and general jolliness of it all....you all know what a miserable bar steward I am don't you?? :)

Hi Jo- glad to hear things are quiet- totally agree about Phil Mitchell, he plays the role really well, and people are able to see the fallout of a relapsed drunk- can't wait to see how he sorts himself out- tips alround, great!!!! (Should one of us contact the BBC and recommend Kudzo and Vit B!!??) Maybe he could be filmed lurking on this thread??!!!

Hope everyone has a good night

Eselt, he plays a great drunk, I loved the one where he walked out of the bedroom in front of all those girl guides with just his dressing gown on....open  and the way he just turned round and wobbled up the hall, it was funny but not iykwim..

Sorry to hear you've got to go to work AB x

    Waves to Fay :)
