In my case it was fresh tiger loaf, lashings of lurpak and a half honey/half marmalade I picked up from the local fair at the weekend, not much good for the arteries but bluddy luverly :D

ETA: I'm now eating a roast lamb dinner from the school kitchen and got crumble and custard for afties

Having read the article I think the tattooist hit the nail on the head - her Dad freaked so she's looking to blame someone.

Always wanted a tattoo but you saying its on a par with childbirth has just made me change my mind!!!

EDIT - wierd tattoos to have in the first place - looks like a disease over her face!!!!!

    Ta chaps

Am more concerned about the alcohol in folks houses - ? I can hear it calling already.

How do any of you cope when its in the house or where you are visiting?

Might be a question for MP, Bis, GC or Eslet? Or any of you who can hear it calling to you in the cupboards.......(or do all of you hear this song of the alcohol ???) Jo I can't remember what you said - I think you cant have it in the house either?

Bit like the mice in Bagpuss

    But instead of

'We will fix it we will fix it'

    The song goes more like

'You will drink it you will drink it'

    ??

    Just me ??

No me too hun only mine is wine and chocolate...maybe you should just take it that you will be relaxed and if you want a drink have one..otherwise you are just going to get really stressed and not enjoy your hols...(that is if you are not intending to not drink anymore at all) if you are a stopper then I think you need to tell your friends and ask them to support you as much as they can...

I am with you on the marmalade sandwiches, but I love it on toast :p

Imagine Bagpuss going to sleep. Because when Bagpuss goes to sleep....... ;)

I get it with beer only, strangely. Wine and spirits can sit happily un-drunk for ever...... I think I just get belligerent (sp?) and take the advice of Zammo MacGuire et al..........

Fay...You really are strong enough to do this you know. You appear to be a very strong person in the rest of your life so why not with alcohol.

All the time I have given up and even now there has been alcohol in the house.DH still drinks everyday.

If you want it enough you will do it and proudly say to your 'Friends'..I dont drink anymore....You may get some funny looks but at the end of the day I think that people (if they are real drinkers themselves) will be jealous of your resolve.
I just say I was fed up of feeling carp everyday and now I feel so much better for not drinking.I don't NEED it in my life anymore.I can have fun without it.

Don't forget..I have just come back from a All Inclusive holiday...and never touched a drop......You can do it too.;)

As Jo says...think how hard it will be to start all over again.

    Good luck to you
