Proud to be dealing with my debts at last :j0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
Thanks for all the advice about my target. I thought about it while in bed this morning, listening to Aled Jones on Radio 2 and in denial about the time
A target would be good for me because it will give me the motivation.
So can put me down for 2 40sm? I know that looks totally pathetic but I might do better than that. I have already cut down, so the next achievement is AF days.
I only had a small glass last night whilst watching that new James Nesbitt drama. It was fabulous!
Jo~I don't really have days where I crave a drink more than others, it's pretty much everyday :rotfl: It's not funny really, but you've got to laugh about it haven't you. I could blame the kids for winding me up so much, but I drank before they came along, so it can't be true.
40sm~making too many decisions at once is in my nature unfortunately. I act impulsively and then have regrets. But I am trying very hard to change
Fay~I was feeling bad about the cat, so thanks for putting it into perspective. He will be better off in a quieter house because he is too timid really, then lashes out.
I'm feeling okay today. My last working day of the week, so that helpsNeed to start again0 -
Foreverhopeful - that's not a pathetic target at all - it is already the 17th of the month, so well done on setting a target.
I found that once I put my target on here the first month [March for me] then there was no way I wasn't going to achieve it - and I surpassed it - first time in years :j
Good luck - you can do this0 -

Help....I've lost 10 days:D:happylove :happylove

WB, when you said the don't stab him with your chopstick comment, I'd just taken a mouthful of marmalade sarnie and then the phone rung at work, I nearly choked to death and the person at the other end of the phone thought they'd rung the wrong number :rotfl:
Also WB, I think we are all the same with the going back to drinking like no tomorrow thing, me and Fay were discussing this last week. You could stop for a few days, weeks months etc etc but as soon as you have another drink you are straight back where you started the next day with all the cravings and carpness (IMHO only)
Fay, I'm sorry but the comment above that I did for Andy applies for you too, you be careful my love.
FH, congrats on deciding on a target, have you decided when those 2 days are going to be yet?
Morning fluff
MP, I noticed that too - worst time of the week (well apart from Sat-Thurs between 4-9pm )DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Having a brain wrestle with myself at the moment and inventing ludicurous excuses for when I am away
- ie am pregnant (am NOT) but if I used this excuse some folks would surely be suspicious eventually - ie when NO baby?
-ie am on tablets - does Kudzu count:D
- ie I am an idiot please dont give me any alcohol
- am worried about my own will power in houses which are full of alcohol and am with pals who drink lots my will power is kite with a 'sh'
So thats my brain wrestle - I want to perhaps drink moderately but to be honest I know I cant. Therefore my next challenge is to be around alcohol I guess at other folks houses and not cave in, or if I do cave in, someone can come and sellotape my mouth shut ??
Ta muchly for looking out for me:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:DTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

BHB it CAN be done
I am really really strict now with my not drinking on week nights even if the bells are a hollering, and drink only at weekends now and I stick to the recommended limits and then that is it. I didn't think I could do it, but it CAN be done. I find it easier to not allow myself to drink during the week and I do know my limits at the weekend.
If you can do it - that's fine, if you can't..........
I think certain people CAN do it, but it is beyond the reach of many. Experience has told me that when I control my drinking, I don't enjoy it. When it is enjoyable, it is out of control.
Remember Fluffyb that the Weekly recommended units should be drank over 7 days. A daily limit should be around 3 units (1.5 glasses of wine)0 -
As we will be in the same country I am hoping some of you will volunteer to sellotape my gob permanently shut in the land of the Eng'sTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
