  • Hey as a new member, please give me a break.I owe about 13000,I've filled in my DRP form at the CCCS website and I'm hopefully sending out my letters with token payments ( are postal orders allowed?) in the morning.I'm taking medication for Nervous hypertiontion,Anyxety and Deppression, they take a big part of my budget.Im Dyslexic too,so my post might not be very good.I've taken a pay cut and no longer have access to overtime.I'm about £135 worse off and can't pay my biils anymore......I forgot to say that I have turned to drink....

    Hi Tim :hello:
Postal orders would be fine for your token payments. Good luck with sorting out your finances. However bad they are, they are not worth drinking yourself into more illness over. You have found the right place for support, so come on in and join the gang :D

hello tim, the more the merrier:j
Well i've not had any AFD since last post but i've cut down dramatically. I'm having an AFD today, as i'm working hard and still got loads to do but i finally think i've broke the back of it all now. I still would like an extra 5 hours putting onto every day, just for a couple of weeks any way, might be able to get the house tidy as well;) nah, i'd just sleep more.
Getting back to the grind stone now

    Hi everyone :D

Hope you are enjoying the BH weekend [sorry Fay :p]

I will be away tomorrow in a nice old inn somewhere peaceful in an idyllic village :j so will be drinking tomorrow.

We are on holiday this week and I allow myself to drink then if I want to. I was not going to drink tonight but have had a very stressful day which will go on late into the night and beyond :rolleyes: Yes, I know, I shouldn't hit the bottle if I am stressed and if it was a 'normal' Monday I wouldn't but it is a holiday week for us so I am not going to beat myself up over it  Will hopefully manage a couple more AF days later this week so have surpassed my target anyway though :j

Have a good evening all xx

Sorry to hear your holiday week is off to a stressful start, fluffy. Enjoy your wine! and enjoy your little break.

I was planning to 'count' today as a holiday/weekend too but I'm still thinking about it! Feeling a bit off today, so I've just sat around reading. I think that chesty cold thing is back that we had a few weeks ago. This is so unlike me that probably it didn't go completely away at all.

    Have a good evening everyone.

Hi everyone :hello: Budgie says in a very sweet voice ..............................

HOWEVER  I think it is time I cracked dear old Molly Pollys whip, as we are in the last week and all ;)

Back to nice Budgie now :) So my dear members we are into the very last week of the Better Me May Challenge. Remember you all have a vote to cast on who you think should be our winner. Of course you are all winners for even taking part but sadly there is only one prize. (Well it is a money saving site) ;)

Eselt hugs sweetheart and your post is spot on, but how sad that for such alot of people they are too scared and ashamed to seek help. I am still so worried about Sea as she has not posted, I do so hope she is ok. Mr BB came into the room when I had read her post and he asked me why I was so upset. I showed him her post and he too felt so sorry for her. Wonderful people that are so in pain it is truly heartbreaking. I hope you are ok Angel and that you are enjoying the rest of the Bank Holiday? Hugs xxxxxxxxxxx

115K well done on 16 af days and exceeding your target :T but regarding the other addiction I am sorry but Budgie just does not know what to say? :rotfl:Have a fab night and take care. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Pricey Hugs sweetheart and I am so glad that you are feeling the positive benefits of posting on here :D very well done and take care. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jo hugs me dear and well done on staying af :T I do hope though that healthwise you start to feel better soon? Well done on getting out in the garden yesterday too :T An hour here and there makes all the difference. You will get to where you want to be, I am sure :) Lots of love and take care. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

40sm hugs :A I think those boys of yours need to give their lovely Mummy a big cuddle. I too am a soppy soul, but hey theres nothing wrong with that. It is good to care about people and show compassion. You mentioned a few days ago which I meant to pick up on, that I seemed a good mother? I meant to reply that I was only 21 when I had my Ds and back then I had so much energy. You should commend yourself for having 3 boys all so close together, you are doing a fab job as a mother and your boys are lucky to have you. Even if you are a tad soppy ;) My Ds bless him gets a tad irritated when I am soppy but as I tell him that me :D Hugs sweetheart and be kind to yourself. Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Glasgow Girl hi sweetheart and I have added today as af to your target ;) I hope this is ok? Hugs and take care. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wbf so well done sweetheart on 8 af days :T and yes it is so important to say how we feel, Happy, Sad, Unsure. It helps us work out a way forward. So keep posting and you are doing fab, and still able to meet your target ;) Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fluffy lovely to see you posting and a lovely inn tomorrow how  cool is that. Just have a fab time and enjoy yourself, try to leave the stress behind. Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Annie D and London Guy I have updated you both to 25 af days. I hope you are both ok and having a good weekend? Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Maz good luck with all the work you have at the moment, it will be worth it in the end. So take care and make sure you look after yourself. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Maman sorry you are not feeling well, I have not counted today yet for you, but of course let me know when I can? Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Molly Polly where are you and how was your holiday? I am getting worried as you have not posted. I hope you are ok and just enjoying yourself to much to post at the mo/ Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Bhb and Fay you really are both going for the Full Monty this month :T well done both of you. (Just a thought will you two be tactically voting?) Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Winebox hugs and I hope you are ok? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

SEA please post and let us know how you are? We are all so worried about you. Keep safe and well. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Tim Wallis hi and I am sorry you are having such a tough time at the moment, keep posting on here to get the support you need. Would you like to join our af challenge? May is nearly over but you can join now or at the start of June? Have a think and let us know? Hugs and look after yourself. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Miss P, Ra and Ym if you are lurking hi and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Mari how are things with you? Please keep posting. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

To everyone else that I haven't mentioned I hope you are ok and enjoying what is left of the weekend. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'll update as and when more of you post updates?

My Ds is now back in London and Budgie is thoughtful, it has hit home this weekend how much he has moved on in his life. There does not seem much at home for him now apart from his parents and grandparents. It is hard to accept but his: home, work, friends etc are now in London. Budgie loves her little boy but her little boy is now all grown up and she misses him........................

So guys lots of love to you all and cherish what is dear and true to your heart. :A

I was going to tactically vote for everyone :) cos I think we all deserve it :)

Nice to read some folks being up and down - makes me feel more um normal.

OH has turned up for a week to help out with kids, working from here for his work (dunno what he said to his boss??!!) so he left yesterday and flew up today (dont ask how much one of those blue haired emicons).

Work is a killer at the mo, so I do appreciate the support

And now I know I can do at least 2 nights in his company AF then I suppose I shouldn't freak out about the rest :) - the final furlong eh?? who'd thought it

    Certainly not me

And I do seeem to be teetering on having lost 1/2 a stone - which I am not sure about but blaming on the black coffee - nothing to do with the lack of alcohol eh?? Hmm probably.

Or the worms...........................................don't see what the fuss is about we are generally carrying a few extra parasites normally aren't we ? being mammals and all that???

Runs off :) sorry chaps only teasing. If you do change and go veggie though, please support local veggie producers and don't buy imported vegggiebles - that way the farmers still get your support.

I was veggie for 12 years - um then married a farmer by mistake - didn't stay veggie for very long.

Couldn't be veggie up here - firstly veggies dont grow without socks on its too cold :)
Secondly without the farming of beef/sheep we wouldn't have our lovely wildlife
And best steak, fish, etc in the country :) yum

I have no problems with veggitarians - honest I use to be one, live and let live I say - but I couldn't eat a whole one :)

    Fay,

I did a job I hated for 20 years because the money was good. After about 14 years voluntary redundancy was offered every year until finally in my 20th year I was brave enough to take it.

Absolutely kicking myself now for completely wasting a horrible 20 years of my working life when I could have been 'living' instead of existing. If I had known that life was still Ok on less money I should have left in the first week!

In fact I would go as far as saying life now (even with the alcohol problem) is much much better than what it was then.

Hind site is a wonderful thing.

What I am trying to say is don't let your work rule your life just for a few quid. I was a technical officer doing research work and on a big wage. Now I earn less than a 1/3 of what I was cleaning school toilets  and wouldn't change it for ten times the wage. Money is not everything, but it took a long time to realise it.

I will shut up now :o .... just don't want you to suffer with work needlessly ;)

    BHBxx
:) Embrace your inner Hillbilly :)
