Good Morning0

The above post was because for once I wanted to write a one sentence message - and not an essay - on this thread :rotfl:
Today is a new day. Today I do not wish to take a drink. It may be raining here, but all is good in my world - for which I'm grateful. It's as simple as that for me today.
Have a good day all.

GlasgowG- I have been toying with the idea of being vegetarian after reading a thread on OS about worms in tuna fish steaks, the thread has loads of meat/fish related horror stories- the comments on tapeworms made me want to throw upDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Hi Budgie , Don't worry sweatheart I am still here. I am such an emotional soppy soul that I have been really upset by some of the posts over the last few days . I have avoided posting as i don't want the kids to see me getting emotional ( again). I am so worried for Sea and truly hope that she gets the help that she needs.
Last weekend we were all having a giggle posting silly songs . This week we are all a bit sad and low . We need to just try and get through these blips as best we can.
I am tryng to charge myself with postivety in time for June when I take over from your lovely self . I need to set a good example
Thanks . as always, for caring so much.

Hiphouse, as much as I loved your short concise post, I also love the longer ones!! Anyway, don't worry, your posts will never be as long as Budgies
:D
40SM, we are all riding the waves on here and together for the happy and sad moments. How are you doing? xxDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Aaaaaaaaaaargh! Have just spilt brekkie cereal over the laptop. You're all covered in freeze-dried strawberries - sorry about that!
Had a few glasses of wine over the weekend, but nothing excessive. Will do an AF day today I think.
Off to clean up...

Was going to post something about having some cream too, and then mused on the jokes that would follow!
Thanks for feeding us this morning GG. Hope your keyboard recovers!
Well done Price is Right, you are doing brilliantly!!! :T
I'm up to 8 AFD so quite pleased with myself.
Even though it's worrying to hear about people struggling I would hate to think people don't post low posts or feel they have to be positive for the other folks on here. I have found admitting I am feeling down is quite an important thing some days and I find out in the real world it can be harder to be honest about my low feelings than on here. I know it can't be all sweetness and light all the time and we need to take the rough as well as the smooth.0 -

I think this is an excellent point WBF. I decided to have a couple of days away from the thread last week as I was getting myself down about posting my miseries, but I know that if I had posted then I would've got support from you guys, plus it might help a few (or a lot) of lurkers realise that what they are experiencing with alcohol is normal. I also think that if someone posts something that's emotional or they are feeling down then there is nothing wrong for someone to post an upbeat post, as this is all about cutting down and quitting and nobody should feel as though they can't post in case they hurt someone elses feelings. Anyway, if I posted a 'downer' post and then someone said something to make me laugh straight after, they'd be lifting my mood which is just what I'd need!!
All just in my humble opinion of courseDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
