    Hi all,

This is my first post (well actually my first look) on this forum.

It was my birthday during the week and I have been celebrating since Thursday 14th May! In that time I have had about 4 takeways, a couple of bottles of wine, loads of chocolate and more sweets than you can shake a stick at!

This means that I have put on about 3 pounds. This is particularly annoying as before my celebrations began, I was only about 3 pounds away from my target weight!

I was just browsing around and wanted to thank you all for this thread and the recommendation of the website in the original post! From today I am going to start counting my calories PROPERLY using the recommended wesbite and I'm going to shed the extra 6 pounds before the end of June!

So, thank you all for this!

EDIT: I love that the exercise log isn't on the same page as the food log! So you can look at your calorie intake for the day (mine's currently 677 for today) and then you can pop up the exercise log (mines currently 80mins and 348 calories) and :j :j get a bonus SUBTRACT SUBTRACT!! YAY!

Thanks Dragon I feel a bit more positive today, i think it makes things seem so much better when you wake up and the sun is shining!
i am going to be good with food today going to take my little girl for a swim and then do an hour of my dvd tonight. i had planned to weigh myself tomorrow so i am hoping that i have managed to keep the weight off but we shall see. i didn't manage any other exercise all weekend so am really going to have to make up for it this week if i am to survive the month with a loss!

ooooohhhhhh - is that a bandwagon?! Give us a lift!! ;) I'm officially back on the wagon today too!

I had an absolute Blast over the weekend - lots of lovely food and far too much alcohol!! And amazingly - I'm still weighing in at 9 stone 12lbs!! Whoo hoo!!

I'm being dragged to the gym tonight by my lovely OH - and we're gonna get me started on the treadmill with some running - methinks I'm gonna need to build it up if I've any hope of surviving my bootcamp!

I'm not meeting the trainer 'til Friday either - so that gives me the rest of the week to be good and get my backside around the gym as much as I can!

poshstock - well done again!! :j:T you are actually phenomenal!! You'll be at target weight in no time if you continue the way you're going!!

    xx

Jump on board! I started again today and so far with two meals and drinks I am up to 540 calories - um I think I need to go make an omelette!

yep i'm back on the bandwagon today!
boiled egg and toast for breakfast, jacket potato and beans for lunch and probaby salmon and veg for dinner followed by either a long swim or a dvd depending on whether dd will let me out of the house :rotfl:
i'm gutted that i'm still nowhere near the 7lbs in may target and the month is almost over. I am going to try my very best to lose 2lbs more by the 31st though so uping the exercise is required and i'm going to have to be super strict when it comes to snacks.
hope everyone had a good bank holiday and are all losing in this final week.

    uping the exercise
Which might up the muscle (heavier than fat by volume) which is still reducing body fat but possibly not body weight.

I think my father-in-law got discouraged from bothering to loose weight because he ate less, excercised a lot more and found his weight went nowhere in a month. I don't think he ever realised the muscle he was putting on would be heavier and that you may need to give it a few weeks for your body to get around to allowing the weight to drop anyway.
  • All sounds very healthy binky!! And as long as your weight's not going up - it's still going in the right direction! The more stable your weight loss is - the more sustainable in the long-run so dinnae worry yourself too much!! :D

My eating's gone ok so far today - Weetabix for brekkie, a nectarine mid-morning and 2 slices of wholemeal toast with a small can of beans for lunch!! Then, methinks it'll be a diet meal for tea - not a long term solution obviously - but taking them every night for a few weeks can't do too much harm eh?

Binky - I'll go for a swim tonight if you do! ;) I'm actually looking forward to getting back into the pool! I need to get some new goggles on the way though - can't really manage without them unfortunately and I stupidly left them behind a few weeks ago!!

    xx

i have taken measurements too to check whether i'm getting smaller that way rather than weight wise but no change as of yet so not sure where the weight i have lost has gone from?!
My gym has been closed for a refurb, it's open again now but i have to have an induction on the new equipment and that is booked for tomorrow. I have managed to lose this month by dieting, swimming and my trusty davina dvds but it will be nice to get a bit of variety in and get back on the bikes and treadmill.
