Well done to everyone who completed the April challenge, and a warm welcome to all newcomers!

Here goes for another half stone challenge!

Don't think of how much you'd like/need to lose, just focus on losing those 7lbs for May! See, it doesn't seem so bad, does it :D

I use this site

http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/account/index.php

You set up your own target by inputting weight, height, how active your lifestyle is, and any medical conditions. Then each day you keep a food diary by inputting what you eat, and also an activity log. The site works out your calories for input (food) and output (activity). The idea is that you keep the input between 500 and 1000 cals below the output, but without dropping below the minimum food cals set by the site for your lifestyle etc. And best of all the calorie count site is free!

If you're interested sign up here and lets help each other :T

Remember - It's 2009 and we are doing just fine!!!

    Please sign me up too.
I think I'll put today's weight as my starting weight rather than waiting until tomorrow. If I wait until then, I tell myself that it's ok to eat crap today and stuff crisps and chocolate into my fat face all day!!!
Ok then, starting weight for May = 13st 2 lbs.
    Good luck everyone.
PS - where has tara gone?

Hi Folks, well I am back from Turkey 2lb up at 11st 10lb ..... so over-all 0.75lb down on the month. Not great, I know, but at least the scales are in the right direction.... just...

I have a meal out with my son today, and then I have a clear month - no holidays, birthdays, celebrations, etc etc. So NO EXCUSES!!!

I am aiming for a personal target of 11st 6lbs this month - anything else will be a bonus. I'll call in at ASDA and stock up on salad stuff and lean meat today, so I can really go for it tomorrow. I WILL LOSE WEIGHT IN MAY!!!

Good luck to everyone this month - oh, and a special thanks to Dragon for running the half stone club again this month xxxx

I have no problems at all with helping out - the only month I can't do is July :D

Hi Dragon - yes thanks I had a great time, and yes the sunshine worked its usual magic - I was off the painkillers and the sleeping tablets by the end of the first week. If only I could afford to live all year round in a kinder climate, my health would benefit so much.

Oh well.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a long hot summer!

i would like to join up this month too. i was 10.1lb after i had my first baby, and my weight slowly crept up 11.3lb over the next 18 months due to working from home on a computer all day eating the wrong things. i have managed to get down to 10.8lb so far but ideally i would like to get to 8.7lb over the next few months, it's just my lack of motivation that lets me down so hopefully being able to chat to others in the same situation will keep me going!
i am currently doing weight watchers on my own as i can't afford the meetings and i have a gym membership. my gym is closing for the next month for a big refurb so i am limited exercise wise to swimming, exercise classes and dvds at home but i am hoping to manage at least one exercise session a day in one form or another.
good luck to everyone else taking part in may may we all be great big losers!!! :rotfl:
