i too am going away at the beginning of july so i will have to be extra good next month too so i can treat myself to some new holiday clothes! - well i can't wear the old ones if they don't fit can i? :rotfl:
well i have weighed in this morning and am another 1lb down. I am happy to be losing but would love it to be a bit more as i am only 3lb down for the month so far. So now if i want to be on target i have to lose 5lb in the next ten days and i'm pretty sure thats not possible.
Nevertheless i will keep on as i have try and step up the exercise as my gym is reopening on friday, stick to my 18 weight watchers points and try and up my water intake.
I am going to weigh myself on tuesday i think and the following sunday which takes me up to the end of the month and i will be aiming to lose a minimum of 1lb at each weigh in.
Keep it up everyone not long to go now.

With some initial help from http://caloriecount.about.com I've been dropping about 7-8lbs a month since February
Surprisingly easy to keep up once conditioned to it.
    29 April 167lbs
    Today 164lbs
Been a bad month, too many weddings and events to keep the calorie intake measured and in check :o

well done on such good loss each month. For me unfortunately it doesn't seem as easy as that and i'm convinced my body is designed to only let me lose 1lb a week no matter how hard i try!:rotfl:

Thanks, I am quite proud of myself :)
If it is any consolation, caloriecount.about.com considers anything in the range 0.5lb to 2lb per week on average to be "normal" and a healthy rate of weight loss. You don't want to be loosing it any faster than 2lb a week.
So your 1lb a week is good, just need patience.
I've actually only lost 1lb a week for a few weeks now due to various events, plus your weigh is likely to plateaux from time to time, stick at it, the loss will continue and coming down in steps is quite usual.
The 164lbs I am now is a weight I stayed at for several years before I put more on, no surprise my body is fighting a bit against going below it.
  • Afternoon all!!

Just popping in, with what seems to have become my sporadic check in! ;)

How are we all? How are all you wedding gangers getting on? I've got 6 weeks today to go - til we jet off to Mexico (and yes - we're now definitely getting to go!! Whoo hoo!!) and I am determined I will get to my target weight!!

I was feeling thoroughly fed up with it all last night - but I've dusted myself off and I'm ready to start again!! (AGAIN!!).

I weighed in at 9 stone 12 lbs this morning (a new low!!) - so I have 5lbs to go, and 6 weeks to shift it!

I started my "fat busting boot camp" last night - it's officially the hardest thing I think I've ever done - which brought on the feeling of fed-up-ness! I'm totally ashamed at how unfit I am - but I suppose there's only one way to fix that!!

I tried that Calorie Count site, since it seemed to fit quite well with the Rosemary Connelly diet (both limiting me to 1200 calories per day), but to be honest - sticking to that low a calorie count is hard!!!!!

I spoke to the PT after the class last night (since the class was so hard I was seeing double and thought I was going to be sick by the end of it), he gave me a row for eating so little when I'm trying to do classes like his - so I'm meeting him at some point next week, and he's going to give me an overall assessment of the exercise I need to be doing and write me a diet plan! (After doing a weight and body fat assessment - eeeekkkk!!!!)

What's everyone up to this weekend? I have the hen do for the upcoming wedding - so I'm not even going to pretend I'll be trying to be good! ;) I'm getting my hair cut and my spray tan tonight, and tomorrow I'll just need to spend a lot of time sucking in my belly!! :D:rotfl:

    xx
  • PS - big welcome to Adrianhi!! And even bigger well done!! :T That's a phenomenal loss!!

I looked at it today, and since the 5th of January (when I started on these challenges), I've lost a grand total of 13lbs - which is only an average of 3.25lbs per month - ah if only life didn't keep getting in the way!!;)

Tara - welcome back - the board hasn't been quite the same without you!!

Dragon - don't you dare throw in the towel!! If you do I will too!! And to be honest - I'd really rather not!! ;) How are you feeling now? The swelling on your legs any better?

Everyone else - :hello:I've missed you all!! - glad to see you're all still keeping up the good work!!

    xx

    Cheers.
1200 calories is a tought one and if I remember corerctly the absolute minimum calorie intake per day recommended for women, for men I think it's 1500.
I average at around 1500-1600, except the last 3 weeks when I'm sure it's nearer average 1800 so loss has been slower. My sedentry office worker lifestyle means I use around 2000-2200 calories a day.

    LOL!! Crap-with-money!!
hope that the assessment and diet plan go ok! Anything is worth a try.

I weighed in this morning 2lb lighter - which takes me under the next stone level, which is what i wanted. So feeling very very pleased with myself :D, this now takes my total loss to 39lbs woohoo!!
Wish i could see where it is coming off though!

Off on my hols on monday, so won't be weighing in (or dieting :o) next friday, but gonna do it on the monday which i think is the 1st of june, so that will start the month off nicely (not if i've put on tho' - lol!).

Anyway, hope that everyone has a lovely bank holiday and that the sunshine's for all, and see you when i get back! :A

    Posh xx
