well my day didn't really go to plan thanks to a very demanding child! so no swim for me today which means an hour of a dvd tonight once i have got her in bed. will attempt another 100 sit ups too and see how far my stomach muscles will let me go!
    food wise not too bad,
brown bread toasted for breakfast with a scrape of spread
same again for lunch along with half a scotch egg
dinner was salad and a jacket potato
was going to treat myself to a muller amore yoghurt for pudding but my little girl decided to help and ended up eating the lot!
next week will be totm and when i am most likely to go really off track so i shall be posting lots to make my self feel guilty about snacking.
hope everyone has a good evening.

Another week already, i feel like may is slowly slipping away from me and the chance of weight loss with it. Time to get down to some serious dieting and exercise! I have been up working since 6 so soon will have a break and get a dvd on for an hour and hope dd doesn't try and join in as she gets right in my way! also got some cleaning to do today so that should help burn a few calories.
    hope everyone enjoys their day

Count me in, although 7lbs may be optimistic as I just found this thread and it’s already the llth. :D

My ideal weight is around 10st, as I’m tall and broad shouldered/hipped and hour-glass shaped. My boobs and butt will never let me weigh 8st or something lol. At 10st, I’m a size 10 top/12 bottom and happy with my figure.

Unfortunately my weight crept up to 12st (I’ll blame OH moving in and us cooking lots of nice meals together, always with a bottle of wine, plus snacking more – you should see how much junk food he eats though he hasn’t put on weight).

So, Easter Monday I got myself a Wii Fit and I’m combining that with a diet. I’ve cut out bad snacks and weeknight alcohol (Fridays and Saturdays only for drinks). Also cut my portion sizes at dinner; what we eat is pretty healthy, I just ate too much. I do a Wii Fit workout every evening Mon-Thurs, and OH and I are very outdoorsy at the weekends (typical weekend = country walk of 5-10 miles on Saturday and 18 holes of golf on Sunday). It almost makes up for my completely inactive (physically!) desk job.

Weight hasn’t exactly been dropping off but it’s on the way down which is good. Wii Fit target is 3lbs every 2 weeks. So far it’s gone:

    13th April – 12 stone
    27th April – 11 stone 11 lbs
    11th May – 11 stone 9 lbs (missed target :()

So at the start of May I was probably still 11-11.

I'm going to the Lake District on 6th June with OH and want to be down to 11 stone by then (likely to still be a couple of pounds over at this rate). I’m then going to Weymouth with my mum and brother the last week of August, and I want to be down to my 10 stone target by then. I know from experience that the weight loss rate will seriously slow once I hit about 10 and a half, but fingers crossed!

Well I didn't weigh in this morning (mainly because over the weekend I stopped eating again and yesterday I was over loading the scales again , but also I was woken by the sound of someone digging into the house! Okay that was what it sounded like but it was actually our neighbour clearing up weeds with a spade :D)

So I will check in tomorrow and see how I do after a day of tracking my food again *sigh*

  • Hi All,

Just caught up on everyone's posts over the last few days and on the whole we seem to be doing ok which is good to hear. I agree that posting your food/drink intake and planned exercise etc is a good way to force yourself to do some (!) so....

Tomorrow - 5k run (preferably in 33 mins although currently I'm on for more like 36 mins)
Wed - bikes class followed by water aerobics at my gym
Thurs and/or Fri - run again

Now it's in proper black and white, I've got no excuse right...?!

Guess I should weigh in soon too though I'm sure I've not lost any weight or body fat or anything as I allowed myself to eat normally last week rather than stick to 1200 cals a day. Funny how my belly seems so much more pronounced already ;-(

Hope y'all had good w/ends in the sun!

    Hugs,
    NTL

  • Afternoon all (****Sneaks in quietly so as boss doesn't catch me skiving *****)

How is everyone today? the sun is finally shining again in Scotland!! Whoo hoo!!

The weekend was an absolute blow out for me - I've done nothing but eat, so I didn't even bother weighing this morning!

I've started the Rosemary Connelly diet today - I still pretty much swear by Slimming World as on overall lifestyle choice, but I'm following a 2 week plan which is meant to make you lose upto 7lbs - which'll take me right upto my sis-in-laws hen do! So even if it doesn't stay off, hopefully I'll look ok on the day!! ;)

Only 1200 calories per day though - so we'll see how I go! But in saying that, I had the yummiest lunch ever - so it's not proving too difficult so far!!

    xx

    Afternoon all xx

It's been a gorgeous day here, beautiful sunshine all day. I've just finished work for the day and my legs are no longer aching so no more excuses, its back to the exercise. Have just downloaded the calorie count toolbar to keep me on track and give me that extra nudge.

CWM - good luck with the Rosemary Conley. A friend of my mum's uses Rosemary Conley books etc when she needs to lose weight and swears by her plans. 7 lbs in 2 weeks sounds good to me, although the way I'm going at the moment I'll be lucky to lose 7 lbs by christmas! :rotfl:

My fitness dvds are beckoning me over now, have a great evening all xxxxxx

Evening all, had a good day today food wise and long may it continue.
breakfast was 1 slice brown bread toasted and cornflakes with semi skimmed milk
lunch was jacket potato and beans
dinner was ww chicken casserole and sweetcorn. Just done an hour of the davina dvd because i didn't manage it this morning.
My biggest challenge this week will be avoiding snacking, as today was successful i just hope i can carry it on.
Now i seem to be exercising a good amount i am starting to think about portion and calorie control. I feel like my diet is good but i'm not really sure how many calories i'm consuming because i'm not sure about my portion sizes and i really don't want to start weighing out food.
How does everyone here manage this?
i am interested in the 1200 calories a day think but have no idea how to make sure i don't go over without weighing or spending a fortune on ready meals
